stevepeanut Posted March 4, 2009 Report Posted March 4, 2009 Do you think the americans went to the moon, or did they make it up and fake it? If they went 40 odd years ago, how come they havent been back a few times and home come they cant go now in 2009? Technology has moved a lot since then And wouldnt you be able to see the moon buggy and flag and landing platform they left behind though a telescope? I dont think they went at all.
turbo-mike Posted March 4, 2009 Report Posted March 4, 2009 I think they did, because with all the powerful telescopes we got theses days it would not take long for some one to take a butchers at the moon and see what mess they left behind, eg flag, Luna module base, and car thing , and knowing the septics a lot of crap too. Mickey c
bortaf Posted March 4, 2009 Report Posted March 4, 2009 For a start they can go back now but dont want to there's a huge differance. They didn't just go once they went 6 times (manned, 12 men in total walked on the moon) and many other times unmanned, also the Russians sent unmaned missions to the moon, do you really think concidering the bad feelings between the US and Russia at that time that the Russians would have passed up a chance to discredit the US if they hadn't actually gone Of course there's un-reserched and sometimes just plain stupid arguments as to why they couldn't have gone but they are all answerable IF you take the time to look and not just listen to rumor and the bloke down the pub
Rick Posted March 5, 2009 Report Posted March 5, 2009 i dont think they did, and i still dont think theyve managed it. when was the last time you heard of a manned mission to the moon? you telling me that one trip was enough to satisfy their curiosity? I know people have 'supposed' to have been back since but wheres the proof. theres always the theory that they did actuallymake it but didnt like what they discovered and thus never returned? ie: people already there
johnny_h Posted March 5, 2009 Report Posted March 5, 2009 My favorite site....(apart from this one of course ) http://www.abovetopsecret.com/ At first glance you may think what a load of fookin loonys but on closer inspection you will see that there are a lot of VERY clever people with some interesting ideas. There are also a load of complete loons but they are easy to spot and ignore.

richie_stix Posted March 5, 2009 Report Posted March 5, 2009 of course they went! why would they fake it? a uni of my mate works at nasa mind, i should ask him
vibrating_Cake Posted March 5, 2009 Report Posted March 5, 2009 I think they did, because with all the powerful telescopes we got theses days it would not take long for some one to take a butchers at the moon and see what mess they left behind, eg flag, Luna module base, and car thing , and knowing the septics a lot of crap too.Mickey c yes but there isnt one designed to look that close at the moons surface. the one thats up there on the satellite is designed to focus millions of miles, not thousands to look at the moons surface. and the best one on earth cant look at the moon in enough detail to prove anything!. note that (iirc) they said they saw the earth rise... nope! the single side of the moon always faces the earth that direction, we dont see the other side of the moon... ever lol (well probably in a few thousand years) anyway im babbling. nope, unless proven so! the only reason nobody else has been since is the fact the moons radiation (nuclear kinda stuff) in its atmosphere (yes) is so strong its said that any astronaut to breach this and go onto the moon would soon die of radiation poisoning.... back to the landing... none of the landers ever had sickness due to radiation poisoning...
garyv6100e Posted March 5, 2009 Report Posted March 5, 2009 I do believe they done it , reason they have not been back is justifying the expense / value of another moon mission . Back in the 60's it was all about the cold war and technical supperiorty hence a money no object and a lack of health and saftey concern's and also national pride that ensured these missions went ahead
bortaf Posted March 5, 2009 Report Posted March 5, 2009 After a VERY breif google this site came up, covers pretty much most of the hoax ideas, it's all there if you can be botherd to look http://www.braeunig.us/space/hoax.htm You can get way more technical if you wish using the links at the bottom of the page or do more googling
escortwithsunroof Posted March 5, 2009 Report Posted March 5, 2009 dunno, so i voted no but i have a few times
over_head_cam Posted March 5, 2009 Report Posted March 5, 2009 When the top half of the lunar lander seperates and flies off, the charge they use to blast them apart sends particles out in all directions that travel in a virtually straight line. if they were on earth, gravity would have made the particles follow a more pronounced ballistic curve. They were there
caprinerd Posted March 5, 2009 Report Posted March 5, 2009 im with ohc on this in full agreement that they did
stevepeanut Posted March 5, 2009 Author Report Posted March 5, 2009 best one was Ali G when he interview Buzz Aldrin and said What do you say to all those conspiracy theorists who come up to you and say ‘Does the Moon really exist? classic
bortaf Posted March 6, 2009 Report Posted March 6, 2009 When the top half of the lunar lander seperates and flies off, the charge they use to blast them apart sends particles out in all directions that travel in a virtually straight line. if they were on earth, gravity would have made the particles follow a more pronounced ballistic curve. They were there Ah a person who takes the time to understand the physics and not listen the bloke down the pub Anyway last time i rode a majik mushroom to the moon i found nelly armstronges tag on a rock so ner
richie_stix Posted March 6, 2009 Report Posted March 6, 2009 well, at first i was positive... then i started to read the conspiricists ideas and had doubts... now i have read up on the counter to the hoax claim and definatly think it must of happened! If people go to space stations AND LIVE THERE, what makes the moon inherantly harder?
Fishtailparka Posted March 6, 2009 Report Posted March 6, 2009 You don't really believe people live in a space station do you?
Rick Posted March 6, 2009 Report Posted March 6, 2009 why is there no blast crater beneath the moon lander though? if a footprint has an impact on the surface of the moon, why doesnt a rocket thruster?
vibrating_Cake Posted March 6, 2009 Report Posted March 6, 2009 It's made of cheese mmmmm its matured millions of years... bet it STONKS!!!! phewwweee!
