with a photo like that with a dirty stinking pig giving someone a right hook it fookin should be !!!!!!!

im sorry i dont have a very high respect for police in my eyes they are the goverments bully's and tbh i think if alot of what they deal with was left to us to sort out ourselves there would be alot less crime on the streets of england concerning the immigrant population aswell as the british one ....... in the recent years where you cant give ya child a slap or belt round the arse crime has gone up a stoopid percentage and kids dont play with parachuting army figures anymore they play with switch blades and automatic pistols instead !!!!

british policing is crap they are more interested in catching people speeding and flicking fag butts on the floor than doing the job we pay them to do sorry for ranting and taking over the thread but i cant stand coppers like that

i appreciate like you have said that im sure there are a few that are respectable men who do it because they enjoy the job and care for the community but dam 9 out of every 10 i have ever met are arrogant barstewards that only care to stir trouble and try and make you look like a fool ...........

apolagies to daggle and pc capri as im sure you are 2 of the few that do care .

rant over bet i can spanked now

So you're suggesting we go back to lynch mobs and vigilante style policing where you turn up at someones door and drag him out onto the street for a kicking? So what's the justification for this approach to be? Perhaps because Uncle John's mates cousins brother down the road thinks he saw Gupta the Indian or Boris the Pole disprespect the guy behind the counter at the local shop?

C'mon, if you've attracted the attention of the police a lot and got attitude from them, it more than likely has far more to do with your own conduct than theirs. What's more the police force in this country is one that is largely corruption free and upholds the law honestly and to the best of it's ability, the placement of multiple speed cameras has little to do with the police.

If you don't like it I suggest moving somewhere with a better police force that will treat you fairly. You could try the US where you'll have a gun waved at you for belching in a public place, or perhaps Zimbabwe where they'll burn your house down and murder your family for daring to vote for the other political party...................................

On reflection perhaps our bobbies aren't so bad eh?

Agreed! i used to be all 'fook the police' in my teens, now in my twenties i realise they do a bloody hard job and get fook all thanks for it, and yes there is the odd bad apple, but in what industry isn't there?

I often think that if people respected the police more, they would get more respect back! The only two times i have had run in's with the cops, i have been polite and cooperative and they were the same back to me! even driving the capri round lewisham at 2am, with 2 pissed as fook people in it, they didn't even breathalise me (not that i needed it)....

so in conclusion, i think the 5 0 are getting a harsh rap for g20!

What I don't get is the idiots who threw objects through the windows of the banks and didn't even have the guts to show their faces as they hid behind their balaclava's .... not sure what type of protestors they were

1 officer hit one doris, ok, bad

1 officer hit a drunk guy who appears innocent, but by most accounts was being a twat all day, told to move on etc!

again, comes back to 1 rotten apple spoiling the rest!

what do you expect the cops to do, stand there and let people hurl abuse and violence at them? ok mr pedestrian, throw a brick or punch, i can't do anything about it cos of those pussy liberals!

sorry to ramble but some people do need a good slap!

I am not saying all police are the same, but I am saying if the police commit assault they should be punished in exactly the same way as we the public are.

agreed, but saying we should punish every copper for assualt every time they hit someone, then there would be none left! i agree that use of excessive force should be punished, but the police should be allowed to give as good as they get!

The two high profile cases at G20 are perfect examples. OK we don't know anything about the background, or even 10 minutes before, but make no mistake if you or I were caught on camera slapping a police man, it would be far more serious than being caught slapping another member of the public. It would be no good saying you were goaded into it, no amount of provocation would be accepted. After all, isn't this exact situation the police are taught how to avoid and deal with? As for the female that was hit, how may wife beaters have used the excuse 'she wound me up, I couldn't stop myself'? How many have got off on that defence? I hope none of them....

 of course the police aren't above the law, but slapping a police officer is taking the piss, do you want to go to jail?! to be honest, it was little slap, and i thought it was well funny when he took her legs out!

right, i am eventually going to say something real dumb on this thread so this might be my last (and possibly the dumb thing) but i bet half the women there are those stupid types that think equality for women means men loose their rights... well if they wana get equality, then they can get slapped like a man!

i just think it's a typical british 'on the fence' response, what ever way it went we would moan... oh the police are pussies don't do enough, other side, bunch of violent tossers... it's loose loose for them!

PLEASE NOTE, I ABHOAR VIOLENCE TO WOMEN, ITS DISGUSTING!

Mate, neither of these people used violence towards either officer, they were held against their will by the police. One had a baton wrapped around her legs which you think is funny and the other is dead. Imagine it was your father or girlfriend. I bet you wouldn't be so quick to defend the pigs then. I applaud you for not commenting further on this thread because you obviously have no idea what you are talking about.

In a nutshell

There is no excuse for a police officer to lose it, a, his supervision should move him back if he is getting that agitated, b, he is paid to take the crap and should find another job if he cannot handle it.

The officers with covered numbers should be held to account, and more so their supervision, who should have checked them before they were deployed.

What is annoying me most is because of some guys are not fit to wear the uniform, ALL police get called pigs. Some of the public I dealt with made pigs look intelligent and clean, but I didn't generalise and call every member of the public an filthy*rsehole, the majority are great.

If ever you have the misfortune to need the Police and they fail to attend, remember they just might be bagging up pieces of someone, or informing a parent their child isn't coming home, EVER (the worst job a cop can get). So when they arrive at your door late and you rant about next doors inconsiderate parking, or your unlocked car being stolen etc, they might be slightly distracted.

Funny you should ask that. There are a lot of people at the protests that believe they were out to rile up the crowds. "Agent Provocateurs".

A photographer's account:

"He writes that it appeared to at least these two photographers that most of the much-photographed violence on Wednesday evening was caused by people who looked like “agent provocateurs,” who “were going from police line to police line baiting the police — and they were the ones who instigated the push against police lines that kicked off the evening violence.” This photographer adds that “There was another guy baiting the police and whipping up the crowd to rush the police, he got a hundred or so protesters to follow him and then sneaked off as they reached police lines.” He also writes that the second photographer, who is a reliable reporter, “saw a bunch of protesters trying to stop a guy in black throwing bottles at the police, the protesters had an argument him and then accused him of being a policeman, whereupon he ran to the police cordon, showed some I.D. and was let through!”

It's strange that most buildings around the bank of england were boarded up yet the RBS building was not.

99% of the police are sound, 1% are not fit to put on the uniform, same with soldiers, nurses, protesters, etc, etc. What annoys me is the general level of anger towards the police, half the crap is not their fault, they do not choose to be under resourced, forced to fill out a pile of paper work and do the job with one hand tied behind their backs. Don’t get me wrong, if they go above and beyond the law then they like us all should answer to it. I hope justice is done in this case, I have seen video clips where it looks like your man was being a pain and getting in the way of the Police. I have seen other stills and video where he looks like Joe Public going about his business.

Others have said it before but I will too, we are lucky to have the Police that we have, pretty much anywhere else on the planet and it would have been water cannons and tear gas at the first sniff of trouble.

Thank you  , a half sensible reply and not a pig reference in site.

Oh and by the way I am not paid to 'take the crap' I am actually paid to uphold the law and protect the public, however this country stinks so much that ppl are being brought up to believe that it is there god given right to smack a copper, spit in his face and then complain when they are given a smack back. Yet another reason for me to just put up with this shite until I can retire, then take my payoff and fook off out of this place, leaving this country to all the liberal bean bag sitting lefties....

altho ive watched this thread ive kept out of it so far, but i just want to say , my best mate who ive knocked about with since we were 9 years old is a police seargent, hes the nicest most sensible, tolerant well behaved bloke your ever likely to meet, ive seen him with black eyes, broken leg and heard his stories of old and young men and women that make his job hell, he has had to move house on 2 occasions due to been victimised by idiots who dont understand that if they break the law they will be punished, ive never seen my mate lose his cool off duty and i trust he hasnt on duty, he is a black belt in karate and 6ft tall and built like a tank, so if he felt the urge he could quite easily batter just about any man he came in conflict with, but doesnt.

he is the 1st to admit there are some 'aresholes' in the police force and he himself has had 2 bent coppers thrown out, but i know 1st hand you cannot tar every copper with the same brush. He for one is one of the good coppers that would go out of his way to help any one of you lot if your car was stolen, your family threatened or your house burgled.

Unfortunately, whatever profession you are in there will always be a wrong 'un :ykt: Sadly, the wrong 'uns are always the ones that get noticed and that tars all the others with the same brush.

If you are a person in a position of authority there will ALWAYS be those that complain regardless ... unfortunately, some people just don't like being told what to do. And .... there will always be those that abuse the power that they have been given.

I am not condoning needless violence by either party here, just stating that there will always be differing opinions

Daggle, you are not one of the wrong 'uns and you should rest assured that you do the job you are paid to do in a manner that is proper in the eyes of us "normal" folk and for that we thank you and your colleagues  Yours is not an easy job but then you knew that when you joined up

Posted

Daggle, I could have worded it differently, but amongst the good bits which give you a warm feeling of making a difference, there are other times when part of the job is taking and clearing up the crap. I hope you make the 30 and have a long pension. I got to 18yrs when 2 smackheads in a stolen Prelude raspberry rippled me. But I'm stupid, give me 4 new discs, a fresh kneecap, the damaged nerves in my face replaced, and I was young enough, I'd join up again in a heartbeat. And my wife would divorce me if she had to live as a coppers wife again!!

ok i'm back then (day off yesterday!)... i admit a guy dying is bad, and i am not defending that officer, merely the whole opperation. And yes if it was my dad i might respond different, but he's not! hes a waster who was told to move on several times, was wankered and out to cause trouble! did he deserve to die NO, did the officer who hit him aim to kill him NO! it was an unfortuante mistake!

but the girl? it is a human function to laugh at a situation we find stressful or uncomfortable, it is a way of our minds releiving the stress of imaging being in that situation... so i defend my right to laugh at her... are you telling me you have never laughed at someone's misfortune? if you are you are a lier!

Cops here have been covering there numbers for years, nothing new there, fair do's they have to listen to some shite from the general public but if you think that the g20 policing was heavy handed at least they arent going out on duty at night, donning civilian clothes then going out to shoot someone then sign back in at the police station in uniform
