It lives,...the mbe would only provide a spark on permanent live. as soon as you went ignition live feed it wouldnt,

its an XE, 45s, MBE 912v2 and wasted spark coil pack, ... it works but if anyone has ideas on why it doesnt give a spark when wired into ignition live on a relay even tho all feeds are being provided, its as if the relay fails? i followed the sbd wiring diagram.

its purely when its on ignition live through a relay--i checked the relay, it works and with ignition on first click power is on in all the right places, but when you turn the key to turn it over there is no spark

Not all the ignition lives stay powered when the engine is cranking. I think this is to stop overloading stuff when the starter motor spins, or to make sure the starter has as much juice as possible. Certain items (normally includes the stereo) will turn on when you turn the ignition on but will cut out when the key is turned further to the start position, then come back on when the key springs back. I have a feeling that from the ignition barrel there's one wire that stays live when the engine's cranked and one that doesn't.

Going round in circles!!...ive found the wire for the coil, and using that to power the 'ignition' feed to the relay for the mbe, HOWEVER....when switching off the ignition the engine keeps running!!

ive found that a small amount of power is still remaining from the cable, thus keeping the mbe going! ...please help, i need to get rid of this residual power, but how?

please help, shane
