HotRodMatt Posted May 5, 2009 Report Posted May 5, 2009 Mk2 RS2000? Could well be an aftermarket jobbie though as I don't recall these having a boot lock cutout... Then again, I could be wrong!! LOL Cheers Matt out
andy_b Posted May 5, 2009 Author Report Posted May 5, 2009 I found a german advert selling it with a capri but it doesn't look like any of the capri rs spoilers i've seen, same as the escort i've never seen one with a cutout either. Andy.
escort21 Posted May 5, 2009 Report Posted May 5, 2009 Sure standard ones fit just above the boot lock
Admin Vista Posted May 5, 2009 Admin Report Posted May 5, 2009 There was a mk1 RS2000 black rubber boot spoiler available in Germany but I've only ever seen one and can't recall whether the button came through the spoiler or not. I guess it can't be mk2 granada as it's clearly not wide enough for your cortina. Do you know anyone with a mk1 escort you could hold it in place on?
Copey Posted May 5, 2009 Report Posted May 5, 2009 the shape where is fits against the boot looks very capri esque
andy a Posted May 5, 2009 Report Posted May 5, 2009 I'd say it's Mk1 Capri, the lock sits high on the bootlid, like this....
andy_b Posted May 5, 2009 Author Report Posted May 5, 2009 I've taken a load more pictures maybe they will help? more pics picasaweb.google.co.uk/cortinamk5/RsSpoiler Andy.
bortaf Posted May 5, 2009 Report Posted May 5, 2009 Oh and it's 55" longAndy. It's not all about size Andy (well that's what the wife tells me) Here ya go mate I did say on BSC Mk2 escort or Mk1 capri possably
Guest cortinamad-gonetoo Posted May 6, 2009 Report Posted May 6, 2009 im still not convinced its a escort spoiler maybe mk1 capri
andy a Posted May 6, 2009 Report Posted May 6, 2009 I reckon its Mk1 Capri, if you look at the angle of it and how high the lock hole sits as can be seen in my pic on the last page. you can lead a horse to water...
