Doc Posted December 16, 2006 Report Posted December 16, 2006 Right this isnt a critisicm about the car bieng in the mag or the person as i know him (Well done Fella) and the car is an honest car as i can confirm ! but what was the thinking behind the huge spread on Toms Capri ?
aphspeed Posted December 16, 2006 Report Posted December 16, 2006 It's nice to show some grass roots type cars. In the past we've been accused of just featuring mega money build cars. I thought that was a bit unfair, but we have started featuring more everyday, built on a budget stuff that people can associate with and get ideas off that they can actually do. The Capri is one of those. And when you say huge.... Six pages is average for a feature car, we'll sometimes go down to five if we're having trouble with space in the mag. I thought it was justified for a cool car with a good shoot. Did you not think it was worthy of it then?

Not everyone has big budgets for their cars and to be honest sometimes it can get a bit boring reading about yet another big budget escort with yet another big budget cossie lump in it. My Mk2 is no show car, but its tidy looking, solid, fast, handles well and is massive fun. It cost me £1000 to build! I look at some feature cars and to be honest, they have absolutley no relevence to what most people in the OSF scene can achieve! Well done and please continue with the grass roots features!
