i have some lotus steels in my garage and one has a 185/50 tyre on it!

 

looks mean!

I have them on the front of ny Mk1 Cortina. The 195/60 13s I was running rubbed at full lock so I tried them. They don't rub but they are too short (big gap) so I think I'll try some 185/60s next. Can post a pic if you want me to.

Got 175/50/13 on the front of mine.Does bring the front end down quite a bit , so be careful with your sump !!

Just a thought mate, but what sized tyres did the Guv (Posse) have on his van??? They looked good.

 

Personally, I think your escort looks lovley with the wheels you already have. That is one Escort I can't stop looking at when I am at the meets. A top car

to me, have been struggling with understandig this 175/50 fad since first time i saw them.
