Why isn't it bloody working???!!!

I spent 4 hours today routing the wires through the cortina, had the back seats out, trim off etc... Got it all wired in and the bloody thing wont work! Its well annoying. The amp light comes on but the sub make a no noise.... Also in my endless wisdom i accidently thread the power cable too close to the throttle cable and the throttle stuck on full revved the engine to the top ive never heard it so high and painfull  sounded really nasty. I shoved the clutch down and turned the engine off before unhooking the wire :oops: thats sorted but still no bass...... I HATE ELECTRICS!!!!!

is the sub in a box?

Have the wires fallen of the sub terminals?

simply test by putting the + - wires on the terminals of a AA battery if the cone of the sub moves in/out then the terminals are still conected and should be working fine.

Then if that dosnt work try a diffrent speaker in the channel to make sure that the channel is working or not.

If that dont work try turning on your amp/sub option on your head unit.

it could be anything but its just a process of illimination.

If you need anymore help pm me

Amp and sub??? wtf??? Shocked

mate you need some sidedraughs!!! Twisted Evil

Dont get me wrong i love some raucus induction noise but i love music too big time and i love being able to hear it as close as possible to how it was designed, not through some crappy tinny speakers that start to fart when you add a bit of bass!! Its also the one space i can listen to my music as load as i want without being told to turn it down

the little thin blue wire is normally your remote wire from amp 2 headunit, and you will have phono leads 2 from the amp to headunit these will be quite thick wires with special connectors on them, normally 1red n 1black, just hook em up in red, black sockets (sometimes red and the other white)

n thats it remember not 2 run the phonoleads the same side as the car as your remote lead as it will course a cackle sound!!

rite then your 2 wires from amp 2 sub then after that,

just like getting a fat bird in to bed (piece a cake) lol

Ahhh Electrics in an old skool motor.

EASY

1) remove the Live from the Amp and disconect it from the battery

2) Remove the earth from the amp and wherever it's secured too

3) Make sure the remote on is also removed

4) Pull out the RCA leads from the back of the head unit

5) Put it all back in the cupboard and bob's your uncle! Sorted

some +tve wires from the battery can still put a bit of power through with a blown fuse, check the fuse, I know it seems wierd but my bros did it
probably backfeeding mate or got another pos touchig it elsewhere.

did the wiring myself and my dads an electrician, he found the fault and even he didn't understand how
