X-pack-Glyn Posted September 14, 2006 Report Posted September 14, 2006 If you want one i can build you one for around £1000... (mine cost £1800). as for the cat, its free to anyone that wants it!

X-pack-Glyn Posted September 14, 2006 Report Posted September 14, 2006 wat they like how quick etc 0-60 prob around 4-5 seconds, runs for around an hour on about a litre of optimax unleaded and motorcross racing 2 stroke oil, engines are anything from 23-33cc and the only maintainence required is to change the piston ring every 10 or so hours. mine has allround disc brakes and the radio actually fluctuates the throttle and brake servos to help with traction control, and give an ABS braking effect (all programmable from the radio unit), mine has also an adjustable LSD, alloy oil filled shocks, a K&N and a tuned exhaust.
mk1mexico Posted September 14, 2006 Report Posted September 14, 2006 Very very ive got a texaco rs500 it aint that big though
X-pack-Glyn Posted September 14, 2006 Report Posted September 14, 2006 Very very ive got a texaco rs500 it aint that big though pretty sure the texaco RS500 was made by kyosho in the late 90s, 3.5cc nitro engine in about a 1/8th scale?
EmmaOrbit Posted September 14, 2006 Report Posted September 14, 2006 My dad used to have some one race them for him, they came third in the european champ's. He went to Mendip most of the time, he had tyre warmer's the lot. I got knocked down by one once when I was marshalling at Mendip, fookin hurt it must of been goin about 50mph, me Dad said at the time.
RSvan Posted September 14, 2006 Report Posted September 14, 2006 Fook me there big cool as fook though

joev8 Posted September 15, 2006 Report Posted September 15, 2006 do they do other types of body shapes as well as capri and mini
BaileyMex Posted September 15, 2006 Report Posted September 15, 2006 Thats MAAHHOOOOOSIVE You should get some video of it in action
LUKE261 Posted September 15, 2006 Report Posted September 15, 2006 my mate races 1/10th scale mardave hotrods, he also has 2 saloon stockcars 6cell and 4 cell, and a banger, he did have a 1/10th scale f2 stockcar aswell but think he has sold that now. i borrowed his banger once and had my own shell painted up still have it, going 2 use it again, was a mk1 granny coupe!!
1uk3m4n Posted September 15, 2006 Report Posted September 15, 2006 http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b170/ ... GP1530.jpg i got one of these i am selling it with loads of spares of someone wants it only £200 includes 2 other cars and 3 controllers
X-pack-Glyn Posted September 15, 2006 Report Posted September 15, 2006 do they do other types of body shapes as well as capri and mini Yes, the choice is vast but oldskool motors not so, they do the old BMW CSL shells as well as the old beetle, there was a 65 mustang, and someone did do a mk1 escort to fit the marder offroader but no one brought em so the project was scrapped, very very few were made. as far as modern stuff goes theres loads of shells mostly of german DTM cars, but also stuff like hondas, vipers, megane,s,... the porsche 911s look awesome but i would avoud em as they are fitted to the SWB chassis and dont handle too good, most shells fit the 575 mm wheelbase shassis and best to stick with a 575mm chassis really for future shells. a mk3 capri zakspeed has just been released, not sure wether anyone will come up with another mk1 escort, as the chassis and shells are mostly of german manifacture the germans didnt really like the escorts as much as capris.
X-pack-Glyn Posted September 15, 2006 Report Posted September 15, 2006 http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b170/1uk3m4n/IMGP1530.jpg i got one of these i am selling it with loads of spares of someone wants it only £200 includes 2 other cars and 3 controllers ah, a 1/8th rallycross buggy, one of my racing buddies did a season of international racing with one of those things (well, say "one" he had 2 back up cars, spare engines etc etc) and blew £35,000 for a seasons racing, thats more than an average entire motorcross team if the other two youre selling are vintage early 80's tamiya buggies, especially metal chassis ones like the scorcher beetle il pay good money for them.
X-pack-Glyn Posted September 15, 2006 Report Posted September 15, 2006 Thanks for the coments chaps, been a labour of love over 18 months that thing, believe it or not there is so much tuning stuff out there for them i could easily loose another grand in it replacing every plastic part with alloy, but i think il call it done now, just gota connect up some strong servos for the brakes and shes a runner...
