Admin Vista Posted May 21, 2009 Admin Report Posted May 21, 2009 JEREMY CLARKSON FOR PRIME MINISTER! Now that definitely isn't going to wash, he may be funny but he'd make a crap politician.
antz Posted May 21, 2009 Report Posted May 21, 2009 JEREMY CLARKSON FOR PRIME MINISTER! Now that definitely isn't going to wash, he may be funny but he'd make a crap politician. And most of the current government arent crap? Who could do as bad as Brown and Blair have done? We may as well vote in Jeremy Clarkson as at least the transport system would improve if nothing else. on a serious note....what about anyone caught wearing socks with sandals should be given a £50 pound fine and slapped round the face with each sandal
johnny_h Posted May 21, 2009 Report Posted May 21, 2009 Great start Vista, can you up the age of joining the armed forces to 36 also? I'd love to go back. I'm sick of being an out of work civilian bum.

I'm sick of being an out of work civilian bum. Have you tried Johnny? about 10 years ago I worked at the RN's new entry training camp and even then there were new entrees joining that were well into their late 20's. PLUS as you've already served the same rules would probably not apply to you. Antz, Blair and Brown may have been bad politicians but at least they're bonafide politicians, Clarkson wouldn't know the first thing about running a government. Oh and I'll see your Sandal Tax and raise you the VED on four doors to £400 a year

richie_stix Posted May 21, 2009 Report Posted May 21, 2009 I VOTE FOR SCOTT (vista) FOR PM Thank you for that vote of confidence BUT be warned that if elected PM I shall be investing heavily in the Royal Navy and running the French Navy off the high seas again On a more serious note these are things that I believe any future government should address. Abolish free health tourism, if you haven't contributed to the NHS via NI contibutions then either you pay (personally or with insurance) or your country of origin pays, end of and NO exceptions. Proper control of immigration and deportation of illegal immigrants without all these years of appeals BS (and no I don't mean simply rounding up all the non - whites and sending them packing) Tougher sentencing and life means life, the murdered victim can't get time off for good behaviour and go back to their family in 15 years time because they've been a model prisoner can they? Fair and reasonable pricing on our rail network, how can we convince people to ease road congestion by using the rail network when they're more expensive (and much slower) than the equivalent road journey? An end to state subsidised further education, if you want a better job by doing a degree then be prepared to pay back the cost back from the increased salary you stand to gain. Why should the less fortunate that aren't blessed with the same level of intellect subsidise your further education? The state will lend you the money and the student will repay ALL of it when earning above a certain salary threshold. What's more, fail your course and the debt remains (that'll make sure the skivers amongst the students put a bit more effort in ) That's just a starter for 10, anyone else got any other suggestions? (sensible please, free petrol for OSF user's isn't going to wash.............sadly) i agree... but the bit about students is how it is mate! I came out of uni with over £10,000 of debt from loans and course fees... not even including rent (fortunate enough for my parents to sort that!) and the interest on my loan is more than pay back each month! and people who fail DO have to pay it back! if i had know about this when i started uni, things would be different!
richie_stix Posted May 21, 2009 Report Posted May 21, 2009 so if brown wasnt bland, boring and was relatively good looking then he'd be acceptable? I think anyone would look bad next to obama i think most politicians would look meek compared to Obama... but in answer to your question, if was better groomed, more charasmatic and articulate, it would reflect in his overall competence andmaybe he wouldn't be the bumbling retard who shafted our nation with a 10 inch black rubber dildo! what about tony blair look where his charisma took us charisma isnt everything its just another tool for those idiots to cover their lies with and i agree with smokem lol tony blair, charming? good looks? what the funk?

(sensible please, free petrol for OSF user's isn't going to wash.............sadly) All good sensible suggestions, Scott. I could go with that......Some form of policy to encourage more growth in the manufacturing/agriculture sectors. I think that this great island of ours will have a lot going for if we could maintain our food and technology sovereignty (sp?)

jimbo Posted May 22, 2009 Report Posted May 22, 2009 And as for people saying BNP........What the F*@k!!! Hop back a couple of generations and consider the second world war. Something I'm sure you [ahem] patriots consider a great moment in British history. Those lives were surrendered fighting against facism getting a foothold in this great land of ours, and now you just want to vote it in Don't allow yourself to be brain-washed by the suited facism bullcrap. Immigration is not the cause of this countries woes. Where I am working today, I am surrounded by folks from all over the globe. Some are doctors, many are nurses. There's also admin too, and yes, even a cleaner from Poland. Loads of folk here all doing sterling work for the NHS. Why are they working here? Because they're industrious, committed and bloody good at what they do. They've come here to do well by themselves and to contribute along the way. The folks that I've had the pleasure to socialise with are delighted to be here and think Britain is an amazing place. Quite, well....Patriotic, I'd say! Ironically, as I look out across this London borough from the office we're in, what do I see? Loads of white kiddies sat around, smoking fags and drinking in the street. They're there all the time.......Loitering, contributing nothing, undoubtedly living on the state, whilst we're all in here working away to provide them with healthcare. What are teh BNP going to do about them....... Me. I'll be voting Tory. Why? Their Euro-sceptic stance and the fact their ideaology is based on the individual getting off their ass, and self-improving. I'm fed up with seeing huge chunks of my hard earnt cash go to the current excesses of the welfare state. It means this country is always held back by the lowest common denominators. It's people not contributing that's doing this country harm. Not those who come here to work....... A rise in the facist vote in this country will do us more harm than good. It will totally weaken our working relationships with the boom economies of this era (China and India) and weaken the gloabl respect we have for being a country at the forefront of global social development. As far as I'm concerned voting for BNP because you're unhappy about MP's expenses is the action of a fool. Voting BNP because you think that they'd do this country good is the action of the uninformed.......
