davreeve Posted May 23, 2009 Report Posted May 23, 2009 A couple of weeks ago our 9 year old hotpoint dishwasher killed itself so i set about searching for the best deal on a new one. However last weekend my engine expired on the way back from shakey. Due to my limited resources i had a decision to make ,keep the wife happy or repair the engine . Anyway i will be driving to the cf show and the wife now has a new bottle of fairey liquid which gives you an idea what decision i made . Who else puts thier osf ahead of non essential white goods ?
caprinerd Posted May 23, 2009 Report Posted May 23, 2009 dave your in a car forum and ask that what did you think would be the answer to that lol
4parajon Posted May 23, 2009 Report Posted May 23, 2009 Get the engine and invest in a pair of marigolds
caprinerd Posted May 23, 2009 Report Posted May 23, 2009 Get the engine and invest in a pair of marigolds win win situation i think
bmxdave Posted May 23, 2009 Report Posted May 23, 2009 Just make sure she scrubs the dishes properly, dont want any dirty plates now
razersedge Posted May 24, 2009 Report Posted May 24, 2009 good man you know you made the right choice but what do you need a electric dishwasher for, on my wedding speech i told to whole room "at least now my dishwasher matches my fridge" and i meant it
oddball Posted May 26, 2009 Report Posted May 26, 2009 Your a braver man than me Dave! nice one Says the man who took out a home improvement loan for a new kitchen on our 1st house to build a new engine for drag racing We used to joke that it must be the fastest kitchen ever build
Admin Vista Posted May 26, 2009 Admin Report Posted May 26, 2009 I'm embarrassed to say it but I'd have bought the dishwasher, washing dishes is second only to cats in my list of things to hate. PLUS if she'd been forced to do the dishes because I'd bought a new engine instead of a dishwasher, you can guarantee that there'd be nothing going on in the bedroom for a long time! So what do I value more, driving the OSF or my sex life...................... it's a tough one but it has to be the sex life.
Stu_B Posted May 26, 2009 Report Posted May 26, 2009 I'd choose the engine over the dishwasher... I don't even have a dishwasher & I do all the washing up anyway
Admin Mk2Jo Posted May 26, 2009 Admin Report Posted May 26, 2009 Your a braver man than me Dave! nice one That's bollox and you know it I bet there aren't many who scheduled their wedding around drag racing events either
Ken B Posted May 26, 2009 Report Posted May 26, 2009 When me and my ex moved to a new house there wasn't room for the dishwasher so i threw it away. I said to her why do we need two dishwashers anyway........... maybe thats why she's now my ex....
