LEONMEX Posted June 21, 2009 Report Posted June 21, 2009 i need to get my bonnet louvered (think i spelt that ok?) so does anybody know the best place to get this done & idea on price please??
Admin Vista Posted June 21, 2009 Admin Report Posted June 21, 2009 Cool louvres in Alton Hampshire The cost of bonnet louvring is £5.00 per louvre for up to 20 louvres and £2.00 per louvre for each additional one. http://www.coollouvres.com/newframes.htm Transporting a bonnet safely isn't so easy though.
mk1super Posted June 21, 2009 Report Posted June 21, 2009 Oh no not that bonnet again mate Just leave it off Seriously what about grafting vents into it off sumit else just to look a bit different
LEONMEX Posted June 21, 2009 Author Report Posted June 21, 2009 thanks vista, ive got a mint mk1 bonnet almost ashame to have this done but underbonnet heat is an issue so this seems the cleanest & looks the best when done. I was in hampshire yesterday took 3 hours to get there so will drop the bonnet off & looks like you can wait while they do it. Thanks

Thanks Whilst I agree that punched louvres look the best on Old skool motors, after looking closely at some cosworth bonnets at CF, I think cosworth bonnet louvres will possibly flow more air.................and as they're a lot easier to transport I've elected to go down that route instead.
