Ever been on a blind date???

We were talking about this at work today ... has anyone on here been on a blind date before? Was it organised by your (so called) mate(s) or via a dating agency or other? Did you turn up, see the person and then leave without introducing yourself Did you leave early cos they were not what you were expecting or did you meet someone and marry them as a result? Or maybe you are considering a blind date but don't have the guts

I was set up with my G/F. Not really a blind date but a mutual friend got the ball rolling & we met at a party, a few more dates & we were together

I had some "mates" who were forever setting me up on "blind dates"...unfortunately the dates were usually short or attached My so called mates did it for a laugh, but I made some real good friends out of said "dates". One of the guys became my bessy mate and was the one who got me into OSFs and found my first MK1 Escy for me...so a win win situation then

 

No more blind dates for me...I just hang around at Ford Dealers until one comes along

never been on a blind date, although i do wear glasses so im halfway there

My mate used to set me up with people from his school, so I've been on a few. One was this girl called Sarah. Months before they were talking about a fat lass called Sarah, but I only remembered that the day before the date. They tried to back track and say she wasn't fat, but had big jugs.

 

So we went to the ABC in Bradford to see Top Gun (yes, it was a long time ago. I was 16 I think). She turned up, and yes, she was a bit on the porky side.

 

The film started, and, as you do when you're a hormonal teenager, I put my arm round her, and started snogging her. This happened quite often thoughout the film.

Then towards the end, I must have remembered the lights were going to come up and I was with a fat lass so I stopped.

 

The film finished I walked to the bus stop with her follwing me. The bus came and I jumped on it saying 'see ya'. No numbers were exchanged and I never saw her again.

 

For months after my mates wound me up saying we sounded like two frogs mating when we kissed!!

My mum and dad met on blind date. One of the dads mates from his RN basic training was seeing one of my mums friends

A friend of mine had 4 tickets for the british motorsport awards which was being held in the islington that year.

Anyway, i was single at the time and my mate said his girlfirend had a stunning looking friend, tall long legs long curley hair, tanned body and a right go`er so to speak so i though yeah why not....

 

Anyway as i lived in islington at the time, the 3 of them were going to pick me up on the way.

And the cab blasted it horn, i got in the lift, come out my block, rushed over to the cab,i opened the door and there she was

Really long legs, dodgy afro, and tanned the girl was so black she was purple !!! but had lovely white teeth

 

Still went made my excuses and slipped off early, and it was pukka night!!!
