antz Posted July 24, 2009 Report Posted July 24, 2009 well guys you may or may not remember back in October I was told that my job was off to India and I would be made redundant at the end of July. They were offering a £5000 bonus to anyone that stayed on until the end of July and my original plan was to jump ship and get another job ASAP but it never happened....(quite good really) Well I finish work next Friday and Ive just had my final paypacket and redundancy money come into the bank (4 weeks pay + £5000 bonus + 30 days unpaid holiday + julys wages + augusts wages) and Im one happy chappy And the best thing is I start a new job at the local hospital the first monday of August cant believe how well its worked out. I lose my job on friday and get a fat payout then walk straight into a new job on the monday (p.s. dont buy chips from the company with the singing adverts as they support outsourcing of jobs to india and the quality of the chips arent too great anyway)

antz Posted July 24, 2009 Author Report Posted July 24, 2009 I had 30 days holiday which the company owed me and as I never took the days off I get the cash instead Just ordered two front wings for the Escort to go with the loft full of panels Ive already got! Im going to get her all restored this winter as her looks are very tired. She deserves it.

But I do like my Volvos.... I feel extrememly lucky as the other 4 people finishing next Friday havent got jobs to go to
