:lol::lol::lol: like the reply mate

and yeah i cant understand what roadtax gets spent on myself when you see the state of some roads :roll::evil:

you dont have potholes in Ireland they are dips in the road,deep dips :mrgreen::mrgreen: and people complain about what their road tax is being spent on in England the price of road tax in Ireland is through the roof

If you find the pot hole and take a pic most will compensate you for damages, Mr Wit on here has had buckled wheels cos of pot holes and the council have paid for new ones a few times, its worth a try.

A lad i know works on the roads dept, he told me this.

Local council resurface road, 3 months later gas people dig it up to lay pipes.... 2 months after that water board rip up road to lay water pipes, further 4 months down the line BT decide they have to lift a section of the road, and just for good measure the old electric fellas decide to relay some cable too. End result a road like a patchwork quilt bumpy and crumbling. Best part they were all offered to install everything when the road was first lifted :roll: Now my mate says i will cop the stick for it when its not even my fault.

yeah someone on Capri Power suggested that, i couldnt see any damage yesterday, it only really pulled the exhaust off at the manifold and off a bush

Ring your local council and ask for the highways dept, then ask them for a claim form explaining whats happened, i hit one on way to work one morning and buckled a rim, went to local tyre centre which just so happened to be where my mate works, so we bumped up the estimate saying i done 2 wheels and 2 tyres seeing as i needed 2 fronts anyway why not. Estimate for £471 went in then waited. took a while but they paid up and i treated myself to 4 new wheels and 2 tyres. So you can get a quote for a nice pukka exhaust then let them pay for it and fit

Not sure how true it is but i have heard that councils are not filling these holes as its a way of keeping peoples speed down and not fitting speed bumps.

Not true at all mate.
