Daggle Posted December 24, 2006 Report Posted December 24, 2006 The following piccies are taken from the internet and are of a Mk4 or 5 (i can't remember which one) Escort. This car was one of 60 + cars/HGV's and coaches that were involved in a RTA on the A20 at Dover. I was one of the officers that attended the scene and dealt with the aftermath. Maybe a lesson to us all to slow down when in fog. The driver of this vehicle saw stationary vehicles in front of her, she stopped behind a chemical tanker, but a Transit behind her slammed into her at around 60-70mph, this then caused other vehicles to crash into the vehicle's behind her, each one causing more and more damage!! The images above show the damage caused to the car, the following image shows the drivers area, you can make out the bottom of the A post and the end of the dashboard. The white powder was what was contained in the Tanker and was found to be non-toxic. The driver of this car only suffered a broken pelvis, bone sticking out of her knee and cuts and grazes

Pipster007 Posted December 26, 2006 Report Posted December 26, 2006 Obviously she got fed up playing chicken, and wanted to play Sardines instead
prefectopop Posted January 10, 2007 Report Posted January 10, 2007 Trees really don't like moving much. This is the result of me hitting a tree at 40mph on Dec 1st 2003. You gotta give me credit for hitting it dead centre in the front. If I hadn't I doubt I'd still be here. Suffered a broken arm, broken top jaw, crushed nose, broken cheek bone and a broken rib or too, plus couple of cuts and bruises. It was a damp road and I was rushing. Things like these are a lesson to us all. Slow down - it ain't worth it. And it seems that a mark 4/5 escort is the car to have an accident in, cos both myself and the lucky lady on the A20 are still here to tell the tale!
Wessie Posted January 10, 2007 Report Posted January 10, 2007 and thats why all my cars are having buckets and a full cage
