I think you would see many people leave these shores if they were called upon to fight for this country they call 'home' nowdays . If they're prepared to fight for the country they are welcome to stay

Trouble is the Do Have Some Sympathy mob will use any excuse to not pay many many people. My own brother in law is no sponger, yet cos he can walk across a room he's fit to work! WTF, he can't stand for too long, can't sit in one place for too long, can't walk long distances, all after a accident at work! Explain to me what work he could do? I am all for stopping spongers, whether they have been born here or not, you see them every day and wonder why any of us are working for a living!

I pay my way and don't even use the NHS, I pay for my treatment either when I need to or via medical insurance. Not to say I wouldn't use it if I really had to (like A&E, there is no pay option for that) I just leave it for those that can't pay. Despite this, I fully expect to get very little to nothing should I ever need it. Just like my brother in law (who has also contributed all his working life) gets nothing. What gave you the impression I am high and mighty? Oh, and when did I mention colour? There are feckless types who were born here and are black, and there are white Polish people who come here to work and never expect a penny from the state.

Nationalism often results in people taking credit for accomplishments they had no part in whatsoever. "We" fought for this country etc... I have never, nor do I ever ever ever intend to "fight" for this or any other country - does that mean I should be shipped out?? What it really boils down to is that there are too many people being born. I really don't think anyone would give a crap which nationalities are living in which countries if the population was culled by about 4 billion! Think of how big our houses/garages could be! Newborns are outweighing deaths at 8000 per hour, so I think there should be some law whereby if you really have to have a baby that badly you have to kill 5 or 6 people just to balance things out Aaaanyway, BNP on Question Time tonight, should be interesting!

To answer some questions: yes I believe the Gurkhas were finally given the right to live here thanks in part to Lumleys efforts. To answer HRH’s question which most people would indeed regard as blatantly racist: polish,lithuaniun,albanion,african,pakistani,indian,south african,asian what have they contributed to our country ?? As military effort of the groups seems to count a lot in your opinion I would like to bring to your attention the following points: 1)What have the Polish done for us? -their pilots flew many of our fighters in the battle of Britain, they formed Polish Squadrons who were reknowned for being, quite frankly, Mental in their determination to kill Germans. I believe there were over 40 Polish Aces. Polish infantry fought in many significant battles including D-day, the Falais Gap and the ill-fated Arnhem in which they fought with distinction and suffered horrific casualties. 2) What have the Asians done for us? – Over the last two World Wars the Sikh Regiment alone of the British Army lost over 85,000 men and suffered 100,000 casualties. At one point it was the highest decorated regiment in the British Empire. I’ve stood in front of war memorials in Belgium looking at lists upon lists of young Asian men who were shot, blasted or drowned in mud. I would invite you to do the same and repeat your original question: what have they contributed to our country ?? He was here because his Father fought for us in the Boer War. he had squirmed his way into our country and lied to get the position he was in, he also got his 'mates' on the firm (they were on visitor passports). All because his FATHER helped us out. The ghurkas have certainly saved our asses before, as have many other nationalites, but I strongly believe that there should be some control. If an individual has helped (and is outside the EU) then citizenship should be easy. I know there are diplomatic and political issues as well, but I don't know what goes on where As for the Poles? (and other migrant workers) yes, most of them work hard, yes many are skilled and 100% legally entitled to work here, and yes it makes sense for clients/customers to use cheaper workers. But where does that leave me? Should I lower all my prices so that I can compete? Should I then stop paying my mortgage because I'm not earning enough? Maybe I should put my kids out for fostering as I will not be able to afford to feed them. Or sell my home and live in a bedsit with 3 or 4 to a room? I'll just carry on as normal and hope that the bad reputation of some will tar all the others and they will end up elsewhere or back home maybe where they can build their countries back to a strong position in Europe and they won't have to work overseas Normal OHCness is now resumed

Unfortunately, people get tarred with a brush because a lot of sponging goes on in this country and on many levels, it does come from people that have immigrated to this country! Thats not saying that there are not people in this country that were born here and don't sponge but under the same breath, just because some Polish and others helped out in the war 50 years ago doesn't automatically mean they are all fantastic people and they should all be invited to come and live in the UK off our tax money! I seem to remember millions of British Soldiers doing their thing for their country too!!! As has been said, yes, quite a few Polish (im not singling them out, it is just a good example) come over here and do work their arses off for less money, but what it boils down to is that leaves less work for other people! You could say, well the Poles work for less money, but this makes no difference, just puts more money in the pocket of the hirer! Its not like 1000's of british people have quit their jobs to sponge off the government but there are people out there that can't find work in what they specialise in because they have been replaced by people that probably shouldn't really be in this country! Its all very well saying there are loads of Asian Doctors that are helping us etc, but who's to say that their job cannot be done by anybody else, they probably got their qualifications through Uk education! I agree that just because someones father or grandfather fought in a War for our country it does not mean that the group as a whole should have free sale immigration rights - that would be quite frankly ludicrous and damaging. I felt the strong need to point out that the Poles and Asians have definitely contributed to our country in a military sense, I have visited cemeteries all over Europe and its hard to ignore questions like: 'what have they ever done for us?' As for Doctors from Asia, I don't know the figures but if they got their qualifications here and work here then they have paid large amounts of money to study here as overseas students and they are paying large amounts of Taxes while working here and at the same time providing one of the most useful services in the country. That said I do understand the damage that is done by a big influx of cheap foreign manual labour. My personal view is that immigration control does need to be tightened up dramatically and I strongly think that if you want to live in Britain you need to adapt to its values and language not vice versa.

Fantastic shake my hand, have a cup of tea and be on your merry way! Moved her from another country? Spent months on generous labour benefits? commited any thing more than a minor crime? Illegal immigrant on a fake passport? Next boat back home for you mate! I dont care what colour/ethnicity/religion/sexual orientation you are that is how it should be.... A massive question still remains however, what the hell do we do about the home grown spongers? There are plenty of them and i know a few! Cant just kick them out to there country of origin because this is it..... ??????
