Anything that holds more than 3 shells requires an FAC ticket. You would need good reason to own a 3 shot+ semi auto shotgun. Big time pest bird control for example on your farm.

 

Owning one of those though wouldnt happen in the UK!

i was under the impression that any live shot weapon was under the FAC act and i know all air rifles over 12ftlb require a FAC licence and any air pistol over 6ftlb needs the same

The UK. It was a 3 shot version of the Extrema 2. You can get them in up to 12 shot but you would need a FAC ticket.

There are two tickets.

 

SGC (Shotgun) up to 3 shot

 

and

 

FAC - Rifles, rimfires, 3 + shot shotties etc.

 

SGC's are quite easy to get. You need a clear criminal record, be of sound mind and have a secure place to keep your guns. The Police do a check on you and need to prove why you can't have one.

 

FAC's are harder to get, you need to prove your need for a ticket.

 

Safe shootings good fun. I frequently go clay and pigeon/game shooting.

There is a legal limit on the length of shotgun you can own.

 

I THINK it's 24 inches. Any shorter and you go to jail for owning an illegal firearm.

 

24 inch shotguns are very short, most are 28, 30, or 32 " in length.

Beretta's are the dogs the round ones, firearms are the only good thing to come out of italy imo they can't build anything else.

 

I have a beretta a301 semi auto (4shot) and had a beretta over and under on loan and they are beautiful weapons to shoot. The semi auto chatters through rounds like a type-writer still and it's maybe 25 years old with very little maintanence before I got it (my Da owned it before me and it got a very hard life to say the least lol)

 

Also had a wee victor saresqueta side by side on loan from my grandpa and it was a bit wicked to shoot but a lovely gun none the less.

 

I enjoy the rifle more tbh, I've got a .22 rimfire bsa thats as old as the hills but still fun If shootings done safely it's a real good past-time
