Had to do it. Hand forced by lack of funds/time. Mot due in a week, and she won't stay running for long enough to endure one. No free weekends between now and mid Jan. Already gathering dust at work, looking really sorry for herself. Going to get drunk tonight.

Cheer up mate, not like you scrapped her or owt! Give her a rest. Returned one of ours (previously dropped a valve) to the road after 18 months. Went straight through the MOT once we got her running, she's taxed and working now.

i had my mk1 fiesta off the road for a year (some old git crashed into me on a roundabout) i had to use a crappy mk4 fiesta but got her back on the road last month

in that time i bought 3 anglias sold one of them and cut the other up and am doing my one up. i bought two 1.6 xflows one a gt and a 1.5 pre xflow which i found out had a cracked block (was a L block aswell ) which is why i bought the x/flows .

 

so some good came out of that year lol

From the end of next week, for the first time in the 4yrs Ive had escRot, I'll have an offstreet home for it.

The MOT runs out next Friday and its going for welding tomorrow morning -- I hope it doesn't snow this week while its away

Mines been on axle stands for 10 years now, but she will return and the good thing is the body work is still as good as they day I put her in the garage - and it was never intended to be so long but a lot has happened since - when I put her away it was just me, when she comes out there's me plus 3 kids and the wife !!
