Only 1 way of sorting it i recon...

RACE !!!!!!!

It's already been done mate...

OSF scene - I believe it goes like this:

Quickest turbo Kev Warn turbo YB

Quickest N/A Gary Angelos atmo YB

Quickest Pinto Andy Harris atmo Pinto

Quickest supercharged Kev Jenkins supercharged XE

Quickest pre-crossflow Toby Kent atmo x-flow

Someone can fill in the Zetec for me but I don't think there's one that will beat any of the above as far as I know...

Zetec Turbo mk3 Capri, full int, all steel body

9.73

that doesnt count thats Malta times :lol:

and Ed quickest pinto is Jayson Elvy, please note Jaysons pinto has a help from nitrous but so does Kev Warn

not by any means de-crediting Andy as he is not far behind at all with no gas and a bit more weight

and to sum it all up i dont think the cossie pinto or crossflow have had thier day by any means!!!

its all down to personal preferance, how fast you want to go and how deep your pockets are :ykt:

point proven though despite its age the cossie is a formidabble engine thats well capeable in keeping up with modern engines and newer technologies

that capri is f...king fast any one know if thats road legal time or on slicks ?

That's running on slicks, but has run 10s on road legal rubber. It drives to and from the events, carts his family around in it and is, generally speaking, a nutter!

Quickest crossflow (RWD) James Harris atmo x-flow

Quickest crossflow (FWD) Dave Edmunds Fez atmo x-flow

Quickest atmo 16V Dave Colledge duratec

How fast would Dave Edmunds fiesta be on modern tyres? That has to be the longest standing record!

On the post subject.

I recon the cossie will never have its day, but there are cheaper options now to a standard cossy.

In years gone by people would "borrow" cossy engines for transplanting power into a car, now there's more choice.

XE's, Duratecs, Zetec's, Pre-crossflows etc!
