Admin Vista Posted January 15, 2010 Admin Report Posted January 15, 2010 If the boiler is still working and giving hot water then it's probably something to do with the heating system supply valve, either it's servo motor has failed, the valve itself is stuck or control of it has failed, either way, there's usually the option to open it manually (if you can find the valve itself)

bortaf Posted January 15, 2010 Report Posted January 15, 2010 Is there not a manual overide so the boiler can heat the rads? mine has but it bypasses the stat on the wall and you have to turn it on and off at the manual valve ?

No - i had the choice of either hot water or heating, not both so opted for water so we can at lleast keep clean
FredTransit Posted January 15, 2010 Report Posted January 15, 2010 It's for times like this you might want to think about an electric shower. Then you can shower, boil a kettle for washing up and hope your washing machine heats it's own water (most do) and not have to worry about hot water in the taps.

I'm only renting so not my choice Fred. Can't complain really, its being sorted & I have a lovely home even if I do say so myelf
FredTransit Posted January 15, 2010 Report Posted January 15, 2010 Ah fair enough, but if you are living there it's as much for your benefit to have a shower fitted as the landlord's.
mk3cokebottle Posted January 15, 2010 Report Posted January 15, 2010 probably the type that heats water i reckon
