stuartp Posted January 26, 2010 Report Posted January 26, 2010 My parents used to run Mk1 cavaliers, I nearly bought one years ago, a coupe, missed it by 15mins! Been a long time since I've seen one. Helped a mate with a 126 years ago, we got as far as welding the doors up and cutting the roof off, was going to paint it yellow......not sure about the bedford rascal though.......I had an MG metro which had a disagreement head on with a Renault Master with a printing press in the back, consequently I have a dent in my knee which fits nicely around a Mk1 metro lower dashboard...... my dad had several cavaliers, always thought they were nice looking cars but you are right, i haven't seen one on the road for years (had a look on ebay a few times though). first car i ever bought was a fiat 126, i loved that little thing but very glad i never crashed it too badly! and it used to drink about as much oil as it did petrol i always fancied getting a bedford rascal van, nice wheels, lowered, massive sound system in the back - don't know why i'm just weird my metro (brown 4 door 1.3 city x with cream interior i'll have you know) ended up stolen, crashed and in the middle of a field in northfleet with every window smashed, an axe embedded in the windscreen, amp and speakers ripped out and all my favourite techno tapes trampled ;-( so metro's have left their mark on both of us - i'm scarred emotionally
