BIG G Posted January 23, 2010 Report Posted January 23, 2010 My daughter is 17 months old and last week has suffered with a virus thats been going around. shes been vomiting and not been well at all. so at work on friday i get a phone call from the father inlaw to say get home quick as jasmine has had a Fit and was lying on the front room floor. so jump in the car and drive like a proper idiot as the ambulance was on the way. Get home as the ambulance turns up as she is now come round. Into hospital and they tested that her blood sugar had dropped dangerously low and needed to go on a drip. really not nice seeing being put in the hand. Today she came home and is ok and recovered but fook me its made me realise how much i love my family and how quickly things can happen. If theres any doctors, nurses, paramedics on here a real humle thanks for the work you do and a fantastic place wrexham childrens ward is

petrolhead Posted January 24, 2010 Report Posted January 24, 2010 Hello Big G, I had the same thing with my daughter when I was at work. As far as I remember, it is not uncommon and affects up to 10% of children. I wish her a speedy recovery and the all the best to you and your family. Matt
Mrs O/H/C Posted January 24, 2010 Report Posted January 24, 2010 How scary for you all, kids do have a habit of bringing us down to earth with a bump !! Wishing her a speedy recovery , im sure she will be fine as said above it does happen alot with children that are poorly.
