BlouFord Posted February 9, 2010 Report Posted February 9, 2010 Ok so I want to respray my car but am a bit stuck on the paint scheme. There are a lot of option but I have done these two for some advice. [img Whats your opinion!
sampedlar06 Posted February 9, 2010 Report Posted February 9, 2010 the 1st one but with out whe stripes would look lovely
Stu_B Posted February 9, 2010 Report Posted February 9, 2010 Sorry but I think the spoiler & sideskirts totally ruin the lines of the car. Doing it two tone like that should enhance the coke bottle shape
BlouFord Posted February 9, 2010 Author Report Posted February 9, 2010 the 1st one but with out whe stripes would look lovely Fixed!
BlouFord Posted February 9, 2010 Author Report Posted February 9, 2010 Sorry but I think the spoiler & sideskirts totally ruin the lines of the car. Doing it two tone like that should enhance the coke bottle shape I am starting to think the same!
Mrs O/H/C Posted February 9, 2010 Report Posted February 9, 2010 Personally ...and totally my opinion...neither
mexman123 Posted February 9, 2010 Report Posted February 9, 2010 Sorry to be blunt......but bloody awful, both of them.
914Driver Posted February 9, 2010 Report Posted February 9, 2010 Look at cars that are already two tone, most of them the difference in paint is subtle. Same color but a hint darker or lighter, your tones are at each end of the spectrum. My two cents..... Dan
BlouFord Posted February 9, 2010 Author Report Posted February 9, 2010 I am sort of trying to get it done like this guy!
914Driver Posted February 9, 2010 Report Posted February 9, 2010 I like the wagon. I'm trying for almost the same thing on mine, but the roof and pillars will be the same colour as the bottom, only the hood and trunk will be dark. Dan
Admin Mk2Jo Posted February 9, 2010 Admin Report Posted February 9, 2010 Think, bright pink, with green and blue polka dots, that would set that body kit off a treat...may be some cucaracha Air horns, and a device that puffs confetti out of the tail pipe? That's not a very constructive comment is it I do like this one The spoiler and side skirts are not my thing but each to their own .. I like the colour scheme as the pic above though
baz105e Posted February 9, 2010 Report Posted February 9, 2010 is that spoiler designed to give 'up' force rather than downforce ? each to thier own i suppose
914Driver Posted February 9, 2010 Report Posted February 9, 2010 I am sort of trying to get it done like this guy! Blouford, in your picture is the grey color satin or is that the camera angle? There's sort of color in a change of texture. Imagine a shiney black car with satin black stripes, or a glossy grey car with flat grey, exact same color, around the bottom of the car. Just have to add a flattening agent. Two benefits: You only have to buy one type of paint, not two colors that you'll have a lot of left over. Overspray black onto white and it's tougher to clean off than satin grey (or whatever color) mistakenly sprayed on a gloss of the same color. It isn't as noticable when you mess it up. Dan
BlouFord Posted February 12, 2010 Author Report Posted February 12, 2010 Ok, I have been searching for the correct paint scheme and I think I found it!! Will not be exactly the same but will be looking similar with a variation on the Stripes! This thing looks awesum! [/img]
Craigorypeck Posted February 12, 2010 Report Posted February 12, 2010 The lines hold their own with out the 2 tone colour scheme, but the last one is defo the best! The MkIII is my new fav ford!
Stu_B Posted February 12, 2010 Report Posted February 12, 2010 I think mines going 2tone as well. Satin black & gloss black, satin black & matt black or satin black & flat army green
andy a Posted February 12, 2010 Report Posted February 12, 2010 The Mk3's lines can look a bit cluttered with 2 tone on them, that said the Estate/van looks good, kinda Old's Cutlass inspired but I think but it works well, not to sure the saloon carries it of so well though...
