banarama Posted February 17, 2010 Report Posted February 17, 2010 went to halfords today.got some polish. asked this young lad for a set of ngk,s for my escort he recommended champions for my 2,1 pinto.he said they are better.told him its a rs 2000.set the gap at 32mm. he said hes been a mechanic for to years. i also asked him for a set of spark plugs for my 1.8 diesal /escort van .after 10 minutes of looking at every part book he said main dealer only for those so he took my number and said he will ring me when they are in. i never heard from the mechinic .

If you do hear from him, ask him if they do spark plugs for a DI too. Oh, while you are at it, did you order a box of plug gaps and some tartan paint???
