Tom Posted March 13, 2010 Report Posted March 13, 2010 Thought i'd better put up some pics of my car for you guys Started as a daily drive in '98. If you lived in Chessington then and ordered from pizza hut it may well have been me delivering your food in it. With a growling 1098 fitted! It soon got a 1600 x-flow, a 1700 x-flow which didnt last long and then a 2 litre pinto 2 new wings and a full respray in 2004 *cant find a painted pic - bugger* Then, in 2007, she got a new front end and a Vauxhall XE engine http://www.oldskoolford.co.uk/phpBB2/vi ... hp?t=32030 The meXEco was born On the rollers - She made 185 gee gee's on a standard engine

Kieran Posted March 15, 2010 Report Posted March 15, 2010 Love it! Defo one of my favourite mk2 escorts
mk2dk Posted March 17, 2010 Report Posted March 17, 2010 Very nice mk2 - looks spot on. I have a dvd, think it's called Fastest Fords, on that film a mk2 escork, same color, same wheels etc. are circling on the grass. Is it your car ? and you behind the wheel ?
jamesmk1 Posted March 17, 2010 Report Posted March 17, 2010 i think i still have pics of it befor the engine when in. go and get some tax so i can hear it drive pass, that might make me fix mine
Tom Posted March 18, 2010 Author Report Posted March 18, 2010 Get your bits mate and i'll give you a hand
Tom Posted March 28, 2010 Author Report Posted March 28, 2010 Cheers mate. I actually spent some time down the garage this weekend doing some 'i'll get round to it jobs' Fitted up the new WCXM, had to modify one of the mounts as the sump was just touching the rack. Fitted some double width anti roll bar mounts that i've had for god knows how long and removed and shortened my exhaust manifold as it hung too low under the car. Can anyone with an escort tell me how low there exhaust sits past in relation to the chassis rail at the front jacking point? mine now sits around 3/4 inch lower than the rail now - which still seems a bit low to me? I may make up a new exhaust system while its off too
