Synergy Posted March 21, 2010 Report Posted March 21, 2010 Classic BMX but you can end up spending a rake of money in that game, think OSF period correct modified parts are expensive
PAUL MANN Posted March 21, 2010 Report Posted March 21, 2010 is that a raleigh burner,as the crank looks like one,& are those shimano dx pedals, skyway wheels & is the alloy spoked one a araya rim,lay back seat post, arr memories

silverstreak Posted March 21, 2010 Report Posted March 21, 2010 that was what made it easy 2 do a wheelie u must b trying to hard
Mr Sam Posted March 21, 2010 Author Report Posted March 21, 2010 ive never been good at wheelies which is odd as i can ride a uni-cycle quite well
4DOOR-SHERWOOD Posted March 21, 2010 Report Posted March 21, 2010 That looks cool, I love an old skool bmx! I have a 1979 curtis freestyle bmx that I got when I was 12 for £12....It is worth bout £400 now but I will keep her forever!! U got a bargain...nice one mate!
Mr Sam Posted March 21, 2010 Author Report Posted March 21, 2010 been like a little anorak on the burner forum! the peoples on there think it might be the MAG which im well chuffed about as thats the look i want to go for
Stu_B Posted March 21, 2010 Report Posted March 21, 2010 My mate has a couple of those. I ride a modern BMX & when I had a go on the burner I flipped straight of the back & cracked my head on the ground

DAZZA Posted March 22, 2010 Report Posted March 22, 2010 Yup thats the "MAG" Burner, it doesnt have the usual 5 spoke Skyways. They re-released it about 5 years ago I think. Super Tuff usually comes in Gold. The "Team" Edtion had a white frame with yellow/blue markers on the joins, skyways etc.
Admin Vista Posted March 22, 2010 Admin Report Posted March 22, 2010 BMX, old skool?? no wayyyyyy Old skool = grifter or chopper
baz105e Posted March 22, 2010 Report Posted March 22, 2010 i had a blue and yellow burner, ended up snapping the forks on a dirt jump good times
stevepeanut Posted March 22, 2010 Report Posted March 22, 2010 got this Sam, still in my garage, got it for next to nothing off my sisters fella on the condition I wont sell it for profit, still love to ride it in the summer
GT_lenny Posted March 22, 2010 Report Posted March 22, 2010 i had a super tuff burner, remember piddling all the gold stuff off - it was chrome underneath , then i had mongoose decade- the one with the gyro - one of my mates had a wilcat- even then i knew plastic wasn't for me
Dave Sylvester Posted March 22, 2010 Report Posted March 22, 2010 i got some oldskool bmx i might sell soon, chrome all over, purple handles
emu Posted March 22, 2010 Report Posted March 22, 2010 Nice little purchase there Sam I had a little phase last year when I really wanted a burner as a cheap project. However, I soon discover that old skool BMX and cheap projects dont really go together, especially once you start wanting period kit for them. I bought a random, cheapy, more modern bike and gave it a 'Team Raleigh' style paint job. Cost me about 30 quid in the end and seeing as I have only ridden it once or twice it was money well spent might drag it out over the summer though, its marginally easier than walking up and down the pits at the Pod.
Mr Sam Posted March 22, 2010 Author Report Posted March 22, 2010 stipped it all down and have begun paint prep for a few coats of Ford Diamond White
