i need a new engine

mine started making a fairly terminal noise last night dad thinks it sound slike a big end ...

 

 

so im on the lookout for a 2 ltr pinto (carbs not efi)

 

anyone point me in the direction of one

Big end bearing shells aren't that expensive and once you have the engine out it's a simply job to remove the sump and change them.

 

If the engine was ok otherwise, I'm not sure I'd take a gamble on a 2nd hand engine that could be in a similar state anyway.

what have you done now, youve only had it 5 minutes?

did you do a service on it before using it???

ie oil, filters etc etc.........

 

 

put new shells in it mate, easy peasy........
