Ian has had some really bad luck with going for interviews over the past month or so and employers are real messers - they promise you they will let you know and then you never hear from them. You chase them up and they don't return your calls. One driving job he got offered he was told that he would start on the Monday of the following week and after a number of phone calls by him chasing them up for a start time was then told that he hadn't got the job but they were offering him a lesser postion (less pay) in the company (drivers mate) and once again he chased them up to find out times etc and that was 3 weeks ago and he has never heard from them again :evil::evil:

Winds me up .... these employers don't seem to realise or even care that people are hanging on and waiting for the phone to ring and it is soul destroying when you keep getting let down :?

At the moment, there are too many people going for too few jobs so to have got through a grilling 2 hour interview and to be offered a job all in one day is a breath of fresh air :wink:

Nice one chap  ive not done a lot since end November last year , the joys of self employment in the building industry :( i even asked about jobs in various well known businesses and the not getting back to you bit really winds me up especially the very large national motor factors that gave me a start date then as yourself got in touch re times etc then the manager denied ever talking to me twice , once was in his office ?? So good on you
