They take into account the cost of the car and any parts to fix it then anything they sell it for more than that sum is classed as profit. Ummmmmm, man hours? travelling costs finding the car (He went to Germany and back with a trailer for a 70's S class Merc!)

Guess its much the same as these 'cash in the attic' programmes etc, they never factor in auction fees or getting the items to said auction.

There are things that they miss off, true, but they do thigs on a budget. Anybody who's watched the Capri one will know they couldn't match the paint right because of budget. Always wondered if the buyers actually know what "profit" they make during the filming on do they get mad when they see it on tv?
