I have just purchased some head lamp protectors of ebay for the sarah.

Now I have bought them with the intension of painting them black as to smooth the front end apperance of the car.

My question is, officer Daggle will using them while driving in daylight be illegal or cause the local plod to pull me?

 

I understand that using them while driving at night is wrong and im not intending to do that as they unscrew from the mounts on the head light so at the first sign of dusk they will come off.

 

Any info would be gratefull mate

i remember reading somewhere that if the car is only used in day light you dont have to have head lights !!! when we used to sell them at macces (15yrs ago ) they had black ones in stock for mk3 escorts & stuff so there mite be some kicking about for the sierra in someones shed what are you going to paint them with normal black spray or the turbo light stuff ? ive seen a few escorts & fiestas with only one light & the other used as a cold air feed so would say urs sound more road legal than that but wouldnt put them on for the mot but you can ask at your local mot place as the rules are how that garage reads them

wouldnt of thought it would be a problem slik, i was told by my uncle whos a copper a couple of years back when i smashed my headlight that i can still use it in the day without a light in place and not being pulled
