turnover Posted May 30, 2010 Report Posted May 30, 2010 i might not be taking my old built ford at this rate
Pipster007 Posted May 30, 2010 Report Posted May 30, 2010 Mine's not a new build, but I'll certainly be driving it there, which for me is an unknown prospect, as I've only drivien it twice since I bought it, so I'm still getting used to it
bomber1 Posted May 30, 2010 Report Posted May 30, 2010 mines going for its mot friday so it dont get much closer after a full resto
Savvi Posted May 30, 2010 Report Posted May 30, 2010 I'm hoping mine will make it, although close ( hour or so drive) compared to some of you. Been clocking up some mile today to see if anything falls off
Mrs O/H/C Posted May 30, 2010 Report Posted May 30, 2010 Well this year we will be bringing both our cars all the way from Cornwall (about 25 miles from Lands End) The Cortina has been there before but it took us 9 hours as we had a small glitch The Capri is an unknown ..should be ok as i drove it to a Boxhill Meet (touching wood as i type this)
caprinerd Posted May 30, 2010 Report Posted May 30, 2010 mines coming down on a trailer as the bike rad wont take traffic to well
Jiffer Posted May 30, 2010 Report Posted May 30, 2010 me and my bruvs are taking at least 2 but with the good grace of good there will be a 3rd, just waiting on a phone call, I have bucket loads of confidence in the mk2 but the mk1 is allways a bit of a gamble, luckily not to far for me to go
cortinasgoneforaburton Posted May 30, 2010 Report Posted May 30, 2010 Dont know about new built more new patched up for me, granny and red cortina made the journey no probs last year (bit of a hicup on return) mk4 cortina, lastest to my fleet should be ok but my worry is the mk2 tranny pick up it only does 50mph flat out, my old man and my mate are taking this down and are leaving manchester at 8am so they can take it steady give them a honk if you see them on the m1 and please stop if its on the hard shoulder
Skimmer Posted May 30, 2010 Report Posted May 30, 2010 You still got the rear brake gremlins you had at Shakey a couple of weeks back.... i might not be taking my old built ford at this rate
turnover Posted May 30, 2010 Report Posted May 30, 2010 no mate ripped the rear end out last weekend and did alot of damage,so waiting on the yanks for the parts to arrive
Stu_B Posted May 30, 2010 Report Posted May 30, 2010 I'm hopefully coming in mine. Not done a long journey in it before but I give it plenty of stick localy so hopefully will be ok. My ears, eyes & nose will be working overtime the whole 180 miles
