...................Particularly car websites, when they don't own the relevant car :?::?: :?:

The reason I'm asking is I seem to found myself needing an OSF hit quite regularly since taking charge of my new RS. It's a bit like a drug

While I didn't have an OSF, I only came on here occasionally, but now I have to log in and have a look at any available time.

I'm a member of a couple of other sites, but as I don't own that particular type of car anymore, I don't go on them.

There are a lot of projects out there that I have to familiarise myself with now and try to put names to faces, as I've not been to many shows or events the last couple of years, seeing as there are a lot of new peeps.

Well, now I'm back in a Ford, I'll be making up for lost time e.g. more shows, meets and just generally getting out on the road again

True, when you don't have a particular type of car, you tend to lose interest in all magazines & websites. When I bought my first Ford (Fiesta XR2i) I was always buying Fast Ford mag, all through my Ford ownership. stopped buying the mags when i drove my Skoda around around after writing off my P100, now I'm constantly on this forum & buying Classic Ford/Retro Ford because I own my Capri

Gotta keep the forums alive

yeah, i think it's natural. i used to be on the buysellcortina one but since selling the cortina i dont - although i do still log in every now and then and have a look around, and see what new projects are under way!

Abroad exactly 1 year from my OSF's, and yeah, its definitely harder keep up interest when you dont see the cars, the people, attend the meets, or even being able to answer relevant threads anymore. I still browse the sites as much, just dont have the same input :(

Apart from the the only site I lost interest in was capripower, cause it breaks so goddamn often :D

not a special case. i got the bug... the capri has been off the road for like 2 years but ever since i joined OSF im on here all the time! i check posts here before i check my emails! :ykt:

oh and the face painting was hilarious btw!!

Yes i do, lost interest in one site, when a site changed and lost its own identity. and someone was misusing his authority. shame really it used to be a fun site, ...but so much damage was done with giving someone mod status.

Ive still got my cars, as i enjoy them, i only joined the site for the banter, not joined the site to get a car.

Now been banned from the site for putting a "lets say" price on a advert, and of course telling the mods, i was not going to kiss there Ar**, which didnt help

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

It is like a drug pip! I suppose its inspiration for me. Checking out new cars and pictures which are regularly updated, as opposed to waiting a month for CF to come out. Ive learnt a lot of technical stuff from this site, all members readily share their knowledge. Not to mention the great threads with u lot ripping the piss out of eachother.... and me, (madmex, wpe, to name but a few). :roll:

I haven't owned a drivable OSF for over 2 years now. I'm here almost every day. But I'm a special case (special needs?)

You said it
