Noodles Posted June 4, 2010 Report Posted June 4, 2010 Sad news, 'me mate Daves' Triumph Vitesse convertible was stolen today between 7am and 3pm. The car was parked in Tyrell Court, Carshalton, Surrey. Colour: Navy Reg No. MFU 406F Since these pics were taken Dave had fitted a thick silver stripe on the bonnet and bootlid. I have more up to date pics, I will post them when I've uploaded them on photobucket.

mk3cokebottle Posted June 5, 2010 Report Posted June 5, 2010 oi stop pointing fingers there is no way on your nelly that i would take anyones car off the side of the road if it was taxed or untaxed and im a scrap dealer ....... before you start pointing fingers have a little think about what your saying as alot of people in that line of work would get offended by a young lad of 18 saying things like that , before any car can get scrapped you now have to be registered and all cars presented to a scrap yard have to have there paperwork !!! just think before you speak
100edave Posted June 5, 2010 Report Posted June 5, 2010 Chris ,im a car dealer & scrap boy myself, my dad has been in the car trade for over 35 years & his dad before him. its just that a few people (in all walks of life) aren't so thoughtful when it comes to peoples cars. Dont worry Chris im not some idiot that when something gets nicked or damaged, i point fingers. It was just an idea that someone might want bits, nicked the whole car and lost the rest in bits Its happened to me in the past so i know the score

I think Dean got the message as he keeps trying to call me but his mobile loses reception Hopefully they will get there in time. Well spotted Wayne

lotusless Posted June 10, 2010 Report Posted June 10, 2010 update i had a call from 100edave + him + his dad found the car sitting where wayne/rodney saw it! what a result they stayed with the car then the police come skidding up mob handed accusing them of nicking it!! after they had a row with them it was sorted out. the owner has now got his car back thanks to the osf massive i'm sure dave will be on in a while to tell the full story but glad the guy got his car back with only minor damage well done to ALL involved with this (its a shame the osf's dont turn up as quick )
w p e Posted June 10, 2010 Report Posted June 10, 2010 typical. we move the car to a safe place i leave dave and his dad doing there stuff looking out for the car then get a phone callfrom the local plod asking all sorts of stuff WHO was i with what car/truck was the others in whats there names blah blah basicly trying to say that we had something to do with the theft . i should have asked them for a refund on my TAX i pay cos where doing there job and paying for the pivilage . anyway its back where it belongs
