mrprecovery Posted June 29, 2010 Report Posted June 29, 2010 while at the essex ford meet last night someone planted the seed about doing weddings and things like that in my limo?!?! ummed and arrred about it so i thought i would ask you lot what ya think ? would you wanna get married in a mk2 granada limo?
Admin Mk2Jo Posted June 30, 2010 Admin Report Posted June 30, 2010 I think that some people would love the idea
GJUK Posted June 30, 2010 Report Posted June 30, 2010 I think that some people would love the idea I'm sure most people would hate the idea though. I for one think there is nothing cool about an old Granada, stretched or not. There are lots of other cars I would pick over that.
Admin Mk2Jo Posted June 30, 2010 Admin Report Posted June 30, 2010 Like anything away from the norm it would be a specialist service
Smudger105e Posted June 30, 2010 Report Posted June 30, 2010 I think that some people would love the idea I'm sure most people would hate the idea though. I for one think there is nothing cool about an old Granada, stretched or not. There are lots of other cars I would pick over that. I see your point Gaz, but if it was a Mk2 Granny Limo or a Rover 75 I think I know the choice! lol
rallyesport04 Posted June 30, 2010 Report Posted June 30, 2010 i would choose a granny over any modern scrap i have always liked mk1/mk2 granadas altho a old roller or bentley would be nice too
FredTransit Posted June 30, 2010 Report Posted June 30, 2010 I always fancied a Colman Milne. As for weddings, why not? I did a wedding in one of the Mk2 ambies once.....
caprinerd Posted June 30, 2010 Report Posted June 30, 2010 i had a dorchester for a wedding car 15 years ago and it looked amazing bring on the osf wedding cars
red-rum816 Posted July 1, 2010 Report Posted July 1, 2010 i think its a really good idea mate, and the car is very claen and tidy 2 as i was talking 2 u on monday at the dinner top car mate, i would go for the mk2 granada over anything else, and why do people like 2 slag of mk2 granadas at the end of the day it is still a classic ford and this is a classic ford web site.
awesome Posted July 1, 2010 Report Posted July 1, 2010 I'm a wedding photographer and can remember when that was one of the most popular cars in black.....funderal & weddings dual purpose car i did my mates wedding and he used his moggie 1000 with a cossie engine and my anglia zetec .........nice pics on my web site Have look http://www.mountainashstudio.co.uk/gall ... g2_page=11

GJUK Posted July 1, 2010 Report Posted July 1, 2010 i no it wont be everyones cup of tea but believe it or not, not everyone likes mk2 escorts. True story, Get some photos up you might change peoples (and my) opinion on the matter. All the best, J
Skimmer Posted July 1, 2010 Report Posted July 1, 2010 Saw this Tina limo at Billing a couple of weeks ago
cortinasgoneforaburton Posted July 3, 2010 Report Posted July 3, 2010 If i get married id love a mk2 stretch but id want to be taken to church in a mk1 lotus cortina, and at the other end not wanting to sound morbid but my parents and missus all know that i want my last ride in a mk1 or 2 granny hearse
Ste-V Posted July 4, 2010 Report Posted July 4, 2010 Being in to the bangers, I know of a few lads got married in Mk2 limos, get on with it, what have you got to lose?
lee_capri Posted July 4, 2010 Report Posted July 4, 2010 cool idea mate have thought about it my-self and in a few more year's less then 5 the old mk2 limo's will be worth big money for those who look and laugh they are probably harder to find then most other ford's due to banger racing get some pic's up mate, here's mine and it is on holiday at the moment haveing a 2.9 put in it to make it more practical on juice and performance did like that mk1 tina
Boreham Posted July 4, 2010 Report Posted July 4, 2010 good luck with it... a Local gut did wedding cars for years and a buddie drove for him... once ye got PSV licence and insurance... go for it....draw up a contract..to cover yer ass.. the car would need to be mint / uber clean.. Unfortunatly mosts "Wemmin" (excluding Jo and Ann capri..I'd imagine) want a flash Merc .. Jag or roller.... Guys that'd have no interest in it.... will probably be found out.. eventually.... driving a people carries... ..use moisturiser... have a few boys zone posters.. and Graham Norton tickets...in the back pocket for lads night out... .. anyway.. but.... if yer Granada is in very good knick,,ye might attract busniess... with a VCompeditive price...naturally. oh access to a back up is vital.. just in case
