4DOOR-SHERWOOD Posted July 31, 2010 Report Posted July 31, 2010 This has just come on ebay, seller states that he has had it confirmed that the reg number/logbook has been confirmed by DVLA as a genuine harrier....but looking at the shell i would say that its a GL! what do you guys think? harrier or GL with harrier I.D? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ford-escort-mrk2- ... 4cf0c2c18f
garyv6100e Posted July 31, 2010 Report Posted July 31, 2010 Looks like a wrong to me Harriers only white and silver this one is blue let alone the holes where the GL / Ghia trim was
stevepeanut Posted July 31, 2010 Report Posted July 31, 2010 harrier or not a harrier I think he needs to lower his start price a bit
914Driver Posted August 1, 2010 Report Posted August 1, 2010 Rats, I was looking for a vertical take off jet.
BaileyMex Posted August 1, 2010 Report Posted August 1, 2010 He is either totally unaware of what he has or he is blatantly trying to rip someone off,
moredoorAsh Posted August 1, 2010 Report Posted August 1, 2010 Quote:there is a small amount of rubbing down and filling to do on the roof where it was previously vinyl... Was this a factory extra on the Harrier
wild pete Posted August 1, 2010 Report Posted August 1, 2010 it does say this shell is supplied as a reshell so all he got is a harrier logbook
mk1cossydan Posted August 1, 2010 Report Posted August 1, 2010 Looks like a wrong to me Harriers only white and silver this one is blue let alone the holes where the GL / Ghia trim was If you read the description mate it sez it was a ree-shell as it was to far gone
mk1mexico Posted August 1, 2010 Report Posted August 1, 2010 Harrier's were 1600 Sports on the logbook.
4DOOR-SHERWOOD Posted August 1, 2010 Author Report Posted August 1, 2010 he should have got a decent sport shell really to do the reshell! It will never be the same knowing it had the strip on the side!
Yeomans22 Posted August 1, 2010 Report Posted August 1, 2010 around the master cylinder there is an oval shape, so a bulkhead mounted cylinder was on there like my 11.L a sport etc would have a rectangle mark due to the servo being attached there. still alot just to have a harrier log book, might as well just have a gl with harrier decals.
emu Posted August 1, 2010 Report Posted August 1, 2010 It does indeed seem to be a lot of effort just to have 'harrier' on the logbook. If they even say that, and not just 1600 sport as has been said previously. Its possibly cheaper and definately easier to insure the end result as a standard harrier than as a 1.1 GL that has been modified to Harrier spec though.
mk2harrier Posted August 3, 2010 Report Posted August 3, 2010 some log books did say harrier but most will say 1600 sport. he states that the logbook and plates have been confirmed they are from a harrier not the shell.
MikeyG Posted August 4, 2010 Report Posted August 4, 2010 There is a lot of gear with that car. If it was near to me it certainly would be worth a visit to see the condition of the parts and whether it is just a matter of assembly or whether a lot of restoration is required. He doesn't say if it is silver or white? But if the shell is as described, which on the bay they rarely are, it will sell ok.
