  1. i have the same problem and have struggled to find the parts so i am just going to fabricate them myself.
  2. hey Ratfans
  3. i use www.interparcel.com find the prices quite good and discounted if you register.
  4. Dawlish. im on tampers and will be working down at Roskear near penzance tonight, sorry for the noise if anyone live local to it.
  5. the black and yellow mk2 at sweet lamb overcooked it on the hairpin so he carried on with a donut, the crowd went wild it was an awesome atmosphere. also being stood on a long sweeping lefthander about a metre from the track when the wrc cars come through flat out was just earsplitting joy.
  6. and some from Chirk Castle, which due to the sheer volume of people and poor organisation turned out to be a disaster with very poor viewing, but i enjoyed it all the same. unfortunately due to the rally being stopped for safety reasons there was a couple of hours delay which ment the drivers cars were not prepared for a night stage and it got dark. great days out though and will definately be going again next year.
  7. here are some more from Clocaenog we were that close on this sweeping left hand bend that the cars were just too fast for me and the camera.
  8. i find it a bit strange that there has been no mention of the WRC in north wales this year. i went up for the four days with my 6yr old and a m8, we couldnt get to all the stages that i wanted to but had an awesome time all the same. here are some pics from Sweet Lamb i will add some more later hope you enjoy.
  9. just shoot him and have done with it, he seems to hate everything but himself and is a complete drain on every society!!
  10. its a dam sight more expensive than that now. there are cheaper alternatives. the cheapest being just use co2 or pubgas as its called which you might be able to get from your local boozer if you ask nicely, or from welding companies you can buy small bottles, i use wellington welding in plymouth, £40 refundable deposit on the bottle and £36 to refill less than a 3rd of the price at BOC. hope this helps. http://www.wellyweld.com/products/hobbyweld-5-gas-fill-charge-72531.aspx
  11. i have a brown one, not sure if there is a clock in it or not, but if anyone wants it £20 plus p&p and its yours. just send me a pm with a contact number. cheers simon
  12. i was talking to a builder friend of mine about this and he told me that the guidelines are so strict it may as well be the same as it was, even more red tape now. just another token jesture from the government, make it sound like they are doing you a favour but forget to mention the bad bits.
  13. my uncle was over there during the conflict,he was given a medal and an award for shooting down a mirage jet, he had also been shot at the time, he would still say 'yes it was worth it'. i have a great deal of respect for our armed forces they are put in most situations that most civilians would point blank refuse to do on 2 to 3 times the pay.
  14. they were really a parts bin car, sports shell, RS interior, the spare wheel strap (this was mig welded on like it was an afterthought due to the alloys so dont get caught out). i think they were all V reg but dont quote me on that. also they were mostly down as a 1600 sport on the log book but some did have Harrier. well done for doing your homework first, i got very annoyed when i was selling mine as people messed me about as they didnt have the right info. hope it helps
  15. i love that van, apparently it had a bench seat in the back and was fur lined. one day i will build one in tribute i have another couple of my dad rallying a mk1 but i havnt scanned them yet will do so soon. thanks for all the comments if i find any more i will post them up. now the wife understands why im obsessed with escorts after what i was exposed to in my youth
  16. this is probably in the wrong area and im sure it will be moved to the correct one but i was recently visiting my dad up north and was going through the old photo albums and found these so i thought i would share them with you all. this was a mk1 van running a 2L pinto, it would have been around 78/79. this was just before i was born the baby is my sister. this was a car my dad restored after a crash, it was also running a 2L pinto. i was about 4/5yrs then putting it around 83/84 this is a full GP4 spec rally car that my dad built, i remember this car very well and was quite upset when it was sold. as you can see it had some hard rallies, and after the crash it was straightened out and back rallying the following week. it was running a 2.2L pinto on twin 50's. my dad has a picture of this car somewhere cresting a hill flat out with all four wheels off the ground, it was taken seconds before it landed in a tank track causing the above damage. if i find it i will post it. my dad also showed me this video of Tony Drummond at Lydden Hill in one of my dads rally cars running a 2.1L BDA. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UkIzMPQG-FE
  17. all done
  18. i would have a go at that. im not bad with a welder and most panels are sourceable, in time it would be on the road again. plus its free, pull it out and give it a go. and it would piss my misses off bigtime!!
  19. congrats m8. nice top my new additon had a mk2 escy one too.
  20. i agree with you to an extend Scott, and as an ex forces guy you will also know about rules of engagement, endangering life and property; shooting someone in the back whilst they run away is a definate no no, but apprehending that person without endangering yourself or others is perfectly acceptable, if the criminal is wounded in the proccess then that is their tough luck; and if that person recieves a fatal wound while you defend yourself or others or property you should never be penalised for it unless it is malicous which i highly doubt in most situations.
  21. by commiting a criminal act they are taking the victims basic human rights away, therefore the criminal is not entitled to any basic human rights and must accept the consequences! end of!
  22. congratulations to you both. why do babies never want to arrive in the daylight hours, always in the middle of the night!!
  23. thank you everyone. he is a little star and his two brothers are looking after him.
  24. i thought i would share my good news and announce my new arrival; this is my new born son,Danny Joe Proctor, born on the 29th sept at 03:40am weighting 6lb 5.5oz. seen as we didnt know the sex i also had a pink top in reserve a new addition to the old skool ford scene
  25. hello Scott, for all you general hydraulic parts you could try Pertek down valley road at plympton, ask for mike and be very cheeky and ask for discount, he has helped me out many times. van is looking really good, im so tempted to just pop over and see it in the flesh. have fun.
