your not the first and definately wont be the last. the last one i did was just inside the hole, so no welding, and was hardened steel. i think your only option is to drill it out using high pressure/torque slow speed and then re tap it. good luck!

a friend of mine bought an original from the bbc for £4000.

id go for the 4 spokes

found out not long back that my dad was given a mk2 gp4 shell, it was all kevlar and carbon fibre, it weighed next to nothing and was as strong as you like, unfortunately he replaced everything with original steel and scrapped the custom made kevlar and carbon fibre. i think he nearly cried when i told him what an idiot he is.
