Given the opportunity to buy a mk1 shell that has been professionally restored, would you go for a standard Mex style or one with "bubble/forest" arches if both were priced the same?

Having grown up when Escort race/rally cars all had big arches & was de rigeur to own back in the day, I was wondering which style attracts the most positive attention nowadays.

before today i wouldve said 50/50 but having been at ford fair and seeing loads with bubble arches, especially the 3 mexicos on the rsoc stand, I'd say no arches.

I think the minimal look is my favourite right now, which is why my mex has standard arches no quarter bumpers and no cibies, but thats just me.

Bubble arches do look the teets tho if you fill them with the right wheels.
