stevepeanut Posted August 29, 2010 Report Posted August 29, 2010 day by day my interest for old fords is getting less, and my enthusiasum for 4x4s is growing, just spent fri/sat/sun at kirton quarry in the cheapo vitara I bought off ebay, all I have done is painted it green and put some mud tyres on it and it goes ace. The value for money you get with the offroad centres is fantastic. Heres a quick vid of me messing around. Its probs not helping that my cortina has been off the road for a few weeks though.
Jiffer Posted August 29, 2010 Report Posted August 29, 2010 nothing wrong with off roading, I've been at it for years and have a triped up disco to play with, but I like my OSFs for the sunshine fun
stevepeanut Posted August 29, 2010 Author Report Posted August 29, 2010 maybe I should put my cortina shell on a disco chassis
Admin Vista Posted August 29, 2010 Admin Report Posted August 29, 2010 maybe I should put my cortina shell on a disco chassis Please no

killerkerry89 Posted August 30, 2010 Report Posted August 30, 2010 noooooo! seen that before, cant say i approve. now a capri with 4x4 cosworth running gear.....
flyingbanana Posted August 30, 2010 Report Posted August 30, 2010 their is a 4x4 mk1 fezza in waltham abbey which is used for advertising at some co that converts cars to 4x4
2litreScapri Posted September 1, 2010 Report Posted September 1, 2010 Off roading is cool, but that 4x4 Capri isn't! The one at CCI's entrance is worse though (it just is!). Buy a 110 Defender which was DESIGNED for off roading
stevepeanut Posted September 1, 2010 Author Report Posted September 1, 2010 Off roading is cool, but that 4x4 Capri isn't! The one at CCI's entrance is worse though (it just is!). Buy a 110 Defender which was DESIGNED for off roading I nearly bought a series 3 off my mate a few weeks ago but it was a full rebuild job, so it would have bankrupted me. I quite fancy a defender. The offroad weekend that I went to, there must have been 200 vehicles, the majority of which were landrovers and suzukis, they are deffo the most popular two at off road events. But my little vit did ace, and climbed everything I took it up. Didnt try anything silly though as I am new to it and still learning my offroad skills
Mr Sam Posted September 1, 2010 Report Posted September 1, 2010 id love to take mine to a propper off road center, not had it stuck yet ... although by youtub vids they seem good at getting bogged in water splashes
stevepeanut Posted September 1, 2010 Author Report Posted September 1, 2010 you'd love a day at an offroad centre Sam, its so much fun, its a shame to say it but I am getting a lot more enjoyment from offroad days than I get from the cortina
