shaun1.6ghia Posted January 16, 2011 Report Posted January 16, 2011 keep your pony tail on steve it was only a suggestion!!!! so were allowed to come just NOT park together incase we do what? the reason for "club stands" at shows is so "friends" can park next to each other + if you have an anglia + your not in "the club" you cant park with them. the mk3 cortina club have a seperate stand so do the mk2's + the anglia club oh + the corsair club the year before last so whats the problem? it sounds like you have a problem with osf and as you are a contributor it is very strange surely you should be happy with us having a stand there? The pony tail is firmly in place as i said this show is not what forum you belong to but the cars I have friends who have MK 1 MK2,MK3 cortina,105E and as it happends escorts but we park with the same cars that we own thats it plain and simple we can still all be friends just not parked all together ! Its just THIS show is diffrent to all the others you park with the marks there or you park in the far field on your own Please come along its nothing to do with likeing OSF or not lets just have at least one show a year that is diffrent to all the others Do you need to be huddled up to be friends ? Yes you have it in one if you dont have a Cortina or and Anglia you will be bannished to the back field...as you put it ! This is the only show of the year where that will happen and for us who dont own escorts it a nice change The reason is its the Cortina/Anglia Nationals not the escort Nationals as i have said all along come along what ever you drive you will find us non escort owning old ford owners dont bite And as for Mrs L for the last 4 years she and Mr L and the little L's has spent the evening's drinking and BBQ with people like me

Everyone was friendly and there was no arrogance towards other people for what car they owned.. That was what i saw in th vw scene at bug jam the same year.... guess there can be exceptions can't there. What we love and own are old skool fords and to complain about there being too many of one kind at a show is astonishing. If you wern't so shallow minded you would realise most of the people on here love to go to a show and see a large and vast quantity of oldskoolfords on the road and at a show. not just lotus cortina, lotus cortina, lotus cortina, lotus cortina, lotus cortina, lotus cortina, lotus cortina, lotus cortina, maroon cortina, lotus cortina, lotus cortina, lotus cortina. logging off.lol

SebringRS Posted January 16, 2011 Report Posted January 16, 2011 We went to the Cortina Nationals last year, were put right in the middle of the field by the marshalls, was next to the Anglia owners club, along with a couple of Mk2's and Fiesta's I did enjoy it, wasent there long as we had to go out for lunch, cus it was my mums birthday, so only got to speak to Simon from CF, and KJ, he had the anglia shell on a trailer
Admin Vista Posted January 16, 2011 Admin Report Posted January 16, 2011 Ok, I've been advised by the organiser that OSF are welcome to have a stand at the cortina nationals. The Stand must be prebooked with numbers advised in advance. If someone wishes to volunteer to organise this then please make yourself known to the show organisers / OSF Admin. Additionally (as at any show) where that stand is placed is completely up to the show organisers. So, no more complaints / discussions from either side please.
