Who you buying it from, do they know the value?

Skimmer Posted January 14, 2011 Report Posted January 14, 2011 A mate of mine who picks up motor and weighs them in went into an ASM breakers were he weighs them and they had a perfectly good standard Popular mk2 4 door just brought in about to be drained etc he showed an interest and he brought it home he paid 100 quid for it with a receipt etc , i saw the receipt then flogged it to a neighbour for 500 quid he thought he had a good result , that was october/november last year he said he had intentionally thought of letting me have it but as the neighbour was in the street when he got back he let him have it ............Now he has found a mk1 2 door escort that looks good according to him that he has at some point got to remove i said f**k the neighbour this time and ill have it so fingers crossed
Skoty Posted January 14, 2011 Report Posted January 14, 2011 i got a mint one, been off the road for 14 years and dry stored, for £50. the old lady just wanted rid of it. i didnt know what condition it was in till i had got it out the garage. just needs a respray. was well happy

cjay2004 Posted March 23, 2011 Report Posted March 23, 2011 i payed £450 for a 17000 miles car just over 2 years ago in very good condition 1 owner... ive not long just bought a 1300ghia 1 owner fully rebuilt engine to the tune of £1000 for £350.... but i recon £800-£1200?
