Bought and sold my first car aged 11, Vauxhall Cavalier 2.0 SRi.. Passed my test in............. Renault Modis Diesel.. First car, L reg Metro with a massive Clio Williams exhaust hanging out of it Never ever owned a French or Italian car though

corsairv8 Posted March 3, 2011 Report Posted March 3, 2011 Going to show my age here now, but had first lessons in Vauxhall Victor 101, and passed test, 1st time, in Mk2 Capri GT in 1976. Driving instructor was Russian, and car had a phone in it, one of the first you could get. You had to book a call with the operator, and she phoned you back when call was connected.
