mk1rob Posted April 27, 2011 Report Posted April 27, 2011 Finally got the car sitting how i want it. Exhaust is a problem now though
banarama Posted April 27, 2011 Report Posted April 27, 2011 looks very nice mate the exaust allways cause grief ,normally manifold end
payne'e Posted April 27, 2011 Report Posted April 27, 2011 looking good mate yeah been there with my exhaust looks like you need to get the grinder and welder out
nik_plant Posted April 29, 2011 Report Posted April 29, 2011 nice stance mate, how much have you lowered it by?
Richierich Posted April 29, 2011 Report Posted April 29, 2011 Looks spot on! All about welding in some flexie pipe!
442 Posted April 29, 2011 Report Posted April 29, 2011 If the sparks dont fly it rides too high!! That looks spot on mate, lovely stance.
full throttle Posted April 29, 2011 Report Posted April 29, 2011 looks really sweeeet, one question about the wheels, what width are they, are they the 71/2" rs look alikes being sold by mws, trying to decide what wheels to put on my 1600e, everybody runs superlites and would like something different.
mk1rob Posted April 29, 2011 Author Report Posted April 29, 2011 Cheers for all the comments! Been working on the exhaust all day today. Chopped the manifold about a bit so it sits higher now. Only problem is i could only get bulky 'U' clamps so they still catch on the ground. Might get it welded at some point and loose the clamps all together. I've lowered it 4 inches on the back now. -2" Decambered springs and 2" lowering blocks and just got some -2" springs on the front. They're the 7x13 RS 4 spokes from midland wheels. I like the 7.5s but i don't think i'd get them under the arches.
payne'e Posted April 29, 2011 Report Posted April 29, 2011 for my exhaust i used 1 of these clamps from jetex as there's one local to me. mine only scrapes a little now and then which i can live with scoll down to fittings and single bolt clamp stainless http://www.jetex.co.uk/website/jetexcus ... tparts.php or maybe try one like this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/STAINLESS-STEEL-E ... 5d24078a1a
pinto'd mk2 Posted May 1, 2011 Report Posted May 1, 2011 Stance is perfect.. Finishes off car real well
mk1rob Posted May 2, 2011 Author Report Posted May 2, 2011 Nope. Pretty close to the archs at the rear but just miss
mk1super Posted May 4, 2011 Report Posted May 4, 2011 Thats lower than a Moles bum But looks so fookin good
mk1rob Posted May 5, 2011 Author Report Posted May 5, 2011 lol cheers dude! Taken the spot light off now so doesnt look so front-end heavy
BaileyMex Posted May 14, 2011 Report Posted May 14, 2011 mate i had the same trouble, normal exhaust clamps would get eaten up in no time The answer..... Motorcycle exhaust clamps, very thin and strong too, get them off ebay or any bike shop http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/MOTORCYCLE-EXHAUS ... 1c12aeb760
mk1rob Posted May 15, 2011 Author Report Posted May 15, 2011 Cheers for that mate. Managed to get one very similar to that from a local guy. Problem solved!
Big_man Posted May 15, 2011 Report Posted May 15, 2011 Looks sweet mate I've got the same problem... about 2 inches if that between exhaust and the ground.
