L3EOO Posted May 22, 2011 Report Posted May 22, 2011 I've finally decided to get my mk1 escort back on the road over this summer so thought I'd register here as I'm going to need a whole load of advice I'm in Hertfordshire and own a '72 Mk1 escort. Originally a 1100l it's now a 2l convertible - converted around 20 years ago. I bought it around 8 years ago and used it pretty much daily,unfortunately the engine blew up around 6 years ago and it's been sat in my garage gathering dust since. Other than a new engine it's going to need a little TLC to get it back on the road again so look out for a whole load of questions of the coming weeks and months!
