Daggle Posted February 2, 2007 Report Posted February 2, 2007 Fair play to you, but being honest, can't you spend the money you will spend on doing it up on one that was in better condition in the 1st place, just a thought thats all
Admin Vista Posted February 2, 2007 Admin Report Posted February 2, 2007 Fair play to you, but being honest, can't you spend the money you will spend on doing it up on one that was in better condition in the 1st place, just a thought thats all Daggle has a point, whilst there's nothing like the sense of achievement you get from sorting something out yourself, Mk1 Fezzas can still be had for reasonable money, perhaps less than it'd cost you to sort that one especially by the time you take your labour into account. Take a look at this for instance, looks very tidy and only£550 http://atsearch.autotrader.co.uk/www/ca ... _full.y=11
mr squidian Posted February 2, 2007 Author Report Posted February 2, 2007 well the car was free... the whole thing has cost me about 110 quid..and i thought that wasnt breaking the bank at all
mr squidian Posted February 5, 2007 Author Report Posted February 5, 2007 the car on the left in my sig is what i want to do a rep of
105Nick Posted February 5, 2007 Report Posted February 5, 2007 Fair play to you, but being honest, can't you spend the money you will spend on doing it up on one that was in better condition in the 1st place, just a thought thats all Daggle has a point, whilst there's nothing like the sense of achievement you get from sorting something out yourself, Mk1 Fezzas can still be had for reasonable money, perhaps less than it'd cost you to sort that one especially by the time you take your labour into account. Yeah, that's what a lot of people have told me, as my Anglia needs quite a few new panels, virtually the whole front end and some have said if you bought a new shell and swapped all the bits across it would set me back just what the panels cost, but then it wouldnt be the same car, it wouldnt be my car and the one that has so much history with it and it would be one less anglia in the world. Quite frankly I was shocked to hear that said by the person that said it, especially as people on here go crazy if they see a Mk1 smashed up even when they weren't classics or are totally rotten. Isnt the anglia more unusual to come by than an Escort these days? For some reason people dont think cars are worth the effort if it isnt a Escort, then suddenly take note when there's none left, as per the MK1/2s. Its why I'm selling my Escy to dfo the Anglia. Keep at it mate, its in a damn site better state than my Anglia!
mr squidian Posted February 5, 2007 Author Report Posted February 5, 2007 fair play m8 i couldnt write that much .. and whysell mine if it was free??
