Rick Posted January 27, 2007 Report Posted January 27, 2007 theres this lad at work with a subaru its the old one, a hatchback and hes painted it pearescent over dents and scratches and it looks shit he thinks he's legendary iv gotta get the 'scort done and parked next to his SOON i cant take his smug face thinking hes bad all the time :-s n iv only got a corsa at the minute
Gonzo Posted January 27, 2007 Report Posted January 27, 2007 In the meantime, you can plan a humiliation session. work out when he arrives and leaves every day so just when he's getting in/out of his car or crossing the carpark you can turn up or leave going sideways. just for effect of course.
Wessie Posted January 27, 2007 Report Posted January 27, 2007 i bet it aint a STi of a WRX either, damn wanna be rally drivers
bomber1 Posted January 27, 2007 Report Posted January 27, 2007 had a sti scooby follow me out of guildford the other day. he could piss all over the scort in astraight line but he couldnt hang on the roundabouts like the escort does
Wessie Posted January 27, 2007 Report Posted January 27, 2007 bet he could jason he was obviously a bit of a pussy
Durham Fiesta Posted January 27, 2007 Report Posted January 27, 2007 a few lads i work with own scooberpoo's, they constantly slag fords off about rusting and braking down, but had the last laugh when they both had problems with their cars, one has spent over 2k fixing various things the other's one is having big problem's too. Makes me more determined to get the fiesta done cos can guarentee it'll turn more heads
bomber1 Posted January 27, 2007 Report Posted January 27, 2007 osf of any type / condition turns heads end off we brought a mk3 zodiac back from scarborough yesterday and we had people tooting waving and thumbs up
Durham Fiesta Posted January 27, 2007 Report Posted January 27, 2007 at the time when scooby wrx's etc first appeared they used to stand out but now as you can buy an import for 3k seems like everyone has one. Don't get me wrong they are quick cars , went out in a P1 and was really impressed but personally wouldn't buy one , prefer OSF's anyday which is what a lot of people can't understand, "why would you want to buy a 23 year old fiesta" i agree about the turning heads thing, when my fiesta was getting transported had loads of people looking at it
flyingbanana Posted January 27, 2007 Report Posted January 27, 2007 my m8 has one and i took him out in the escort and he loved it,esp when it was going sideways
Rick Posted January 27, 2007 Author Report Posted January 27, 2007 every other car is a scooby or a mitsubishi these days/
Durham Fiesta Posted January 27, 2007 Report Posted January 27, 2007 or nissan. They seems to be doing a canny trade at the moment, so many nissans on the road at the moment. I work with nissan uk and often in their factory at sunderland, its crazy how easily and quickly the cars go together
Noodles Posted January 27, 2007 Report Posted January 27, 2007 I had that with the tig (sorry vaxhall) I had some 3 series arse behind me hooning it up my behind on every straight soon as he come to a bend he was allover the shot I just stuck to the road, thougt he was gonna crash!!!!
johnny_h Posted January 28, 2007 Report Posted January 28, 2007 I hate all this Scooby slagging. Subara Imprezas are awesome machines and in the future will be as legendary in status as the MK1 Escort is today. The fact that every chav/wideboy/boy racer has one today is testament to that. I'm sure in the 70's there were coversations like this where people were slagging off all the kids hooning around in RS Fords. It's history repeating itself. Having said all that I still get more of a buzz driving my Escort By the way here's my 175mph Blitz tuned import Scooby from 7 years ago before every tom dick and harry had one.
arch Posted January 28, 2007 Report Posted January 28, 2007 i gunna admit yes ther alryt cars but it takes more of a driver with an osf an more class/style/fun cums with 1 too
ADY Posted January 28, 2007 Report Posted January 28, 2007 i used to own a scooby aswel, i think there excellent cars, If i could afford it i wouldn't hesitate in buying a p1. But i do love osf's obviously. I just need to win the lotto, i'll be alright then!
tazrocks88 Posted January 28, 2007 Report Posted January 28, 2007 i have always wanted a scooby and a mk1 escort so i have the escort next thing will be a scooby but keep the mk1 and wat i think would be truly awsome is a scooby powered escort but hey that is just a dream lol just like me havin an aston that will never happen
pelvins Posted January 28, 2007 Report Posted January 28, 2007 i would love to have a piece of jap cr8p for everyday work then osf fun at the weekends
oldskool4me Posted January 29, 2007 Report Posted January 29, 2007 i was having this convo taday with some mates they were going on about jap crap about it would piss all over a mk1 escort etc but its not about the top speed in a straight line the round ones its all about going sideways and having a car that is a true icon and not just a tonka toy osf rules
johnny_h Posted January 29, 2007 Report Posted January 29, 2007 i was having this convo taday with some mates they were going on about jap crap about it would piss all over a mk1 escort etc but its not about the top speed in a straight line the round ones its all about going sideways and having a car that is a true icon and not just a tonka toy osf rules Put an Impreza or Evo next to a Mk1 Escort on a stage and i'm afraid to break it to you but the "jap crap" will "piss all over" it. Are you also saying the Impreza is not a true icon? I would say in the rallying world it was one of the biggest. I have just noticed that you are only 16 so I'm sorry for going off on one. While I admire your'e loyalty and devotion to OSf's you need understand what you are talking about before making bold statements or at least put a disclaimer in small lettering at the bottom of the post. Next time when having this argument with your mates just nod with a knowing smile on your face. Don't even bother trying to prove anything to them for they are sheep.
Twinkle Posted January 29, 2007 Report Posted January 29, 2007 im hopefully still gettin the skyline an nursey still wants a scooby

johnny_h Posted January 30, 2007 Report Posted January 30, 2007 Ok let me rephrase! Put a standard RS Escort next to a standard WRX and then what? If you chuck enough money at something you can make it extraordinary. Until I saw the Taz fiats at santa pod I would have sworn blind that one could never do a quarter mile that fast.
