sab6024 Posted January 30, 2007 Report Posted January 30, 2007 Had a great day, second car park much better than the pub. Nice to meet the lads in the blue bubbled mk1 who bought a mk1 off us a few years ago. Hope to see it out and about some time soon. Great photos, I see my gold Capri in the background of a few of them. Look forward to the next meet wherever it is
groomers Posted January 30, 2007 Report Posted January 30, 2007 spoke to mate and cafe is no longer for sale but best place i can think of for a big meet is granada services, or a mate had the suggestion of the matford diner which if the meet is on on a sun would have plenty of parking coz its on marsh barton trading estate, good cafe as well! would have to find out weather it would be possible if the interest is there!

escortmad79 Posted January 31, 2007 Report Posted January 31, 2007 One thing about the Farmhouse Tavern for the Capri meet, they don't allow children in (They refused me & my ex gf with her 2 kids one night, weren't even allowed to sit in the games room a few years back!!)

Ratters Posted January 31, 2007 Report Posted January 31, 2007 If the chat is about the next 'Exeter' meet being in March, how about making it every-other month. Then on the months in between you Devon/Cornwall lot can have a meet at Route 38 & we can have one further north [bristol/Somerset]?????? Just an idea?? Any thoughts??

If you had yours in Bristol you could cover South Wales, Avon & Somerset.

groomers Posted February 1, 2007 Report Posted February 1, 2007 just a thought but coz exeter seems to be in the centre of soulth west in my opinion it would be cool to have a meet here as it would attract a wider area of osfer's to meet, i know im biased living here but it just my opinion! still hunting for better ideas wil look into marsh barton one this weekend

A burger van would be good, but we could do with someone investigating who we get permission from to use the park and ride. Can you look into that Groomers?

Guest Jason105e Posted February 2, 2007 Report Posted February 2, 2007 Exeter is probably the best place... as you say it might pick up Somerset, Dorset and Wiltshire. I drove down from Salisbury (200 mile round trip). Great day tho.

mk5jph Posted February 18, 2007 Report Posted February 18, 2007 Exeter sounds good - could easily be done in a day from Southampton! I know Marsh Barton area too so would be even better....
