Was getting dark by this time so could not resist a blast for a few mins

Watch up Crawley I'm off tomorrow and plan to irresponsibly waste as much super unleaded as I can :lol::lol::lol::lol:

It's funny that when you own the same car for a long time you kind of take it for granted, knowing what the market is like for buying Old Skool's at the moment I've come to realise I'm a lucky chap to have an OSF let alone a MK1

If I wanted to buy and build one now I simply couldn't afford to do it  , respect to all those who still find a way to buy an OSF and keep in on the road :worship:

Ummm 8 years, I know there are others that have had theirs longer, but considering getting married, buying a house, having two kids and being the only bread winner I think I've done well to hang onto it

Really chuffed for yer baileymex !!

Went to my mk1 other day , been stood a couple of months mind.

Key in ,fuel pump on,key turning, turning, turning, not a splutter or a cough, battery weaker and weaker till no more.

Took battery off ,recharged, put back on next day, turn, turn, even put jump leads on , turn turn, still no splutter or cough.

Then realised fuel pump hadn't turned on,and can't get it to.

Looks like that's knackered now.One thing after another.

Came out of garage before it got trolley jack over it's roof.

Glad somebody's having some luck !! :)
