jamie Posted July 23, 2012 Report Posted July 23, 2012 Hi all, Has anyone run Avon cr500 tyres on their OSF? I'm thinking of trying the 175/55/13s on my Anglia and wondered if they were a good tyre? http://www.avonmotorsport.com/road-lega ... ance/cr500 Just weighing up options and noticed these, so not sure if these are more suited to race track conditions and lightweight sports cars. Cheers!
Admin Vista Posted July 24, 2012 Admin Report Posted July 24, 2012 Yes, I have the 245/40/15's on my van. Very grippy tyre and I have used it in the wet without any problems. It's quite a soft compound though so I'm not expecting great longevity when used hard
JP. Posted July 24, 2012 Report Posted July 24, 2012 Have the 245/50/13's all around for two years now ( 6000 mile so far ) and they are great. Superb grip and even in heavy rain they are not scary. Guess they won't make a 15k mile on our street car as tehy are soft in compound. Got mine from BMTR.
105Ian Posted July 24, 2012 Report Posted July 24, 2012 I have them in 245 40 15 on my Anglia , very grippy tyre have done about 3,500 miles and still plenty of tread left .
