Boreham Posted September 11, 2012 Report Posted September 11, 2012 Personally I avoided FB for years because everyone was talking about it. after getting pissed of with forums and "post whores" I opened a FB account to see what it's all about. Like any tool in yer inventory, if you use it properly you'll benifit form it. I find the "Chat" feature ideal for keeping in touch rather than texting or phoning people. and it's real time if yer chatting to someone on line. I don't put up personal photo's of family, as I think it's personal. As far as having a FB thread for OSF I see nothing worng with it. I agree that forums are better for stuff like build/resto threads, but a brief post on FB can remind people what's coming up and or if soemthing is Wanted..or worst case.. ideaL for getting the word out there for the worst aspect of owning OSF.... ROBBED CARS.

I agree with this, I think there have been a fair few cars recovered in the last year thankfully, and i'd imagine social networking sites (along with messageboards) must have helped with leads to at least one of those being recovered if not more!
